Averaged 17 min TOI, chipped in a half a point a game (ON PACE FOR 41!) and was a minus 2 on a team where any elmore would have been a defensive upgrade.

That's exactly how it'll be... the same people lauding the move now will be the same people roasting CF for being stupid enough to waste a pick like that.

It's not like Fletcher cleared a 9 million dollar cap hit. You know the group of people who post here that are literally fine with everything the Flyers do.

Wait til you get a load how Fletcher spends the money he cleared.

- PLindbergh31

but he saved the 9 million dollars! Wait till he signs another kevin hayes or sute/parise the lemmings will fall in line and love it

One team was smart enough to take advantage of a gm who at best is medicore at his job.

He should never have handed Ghost that contract to begin with. Oh wait, it wasn't Chuck.

Sure they can trade Pavel Kubina

Well everyone wants to move Couturier. What would he bring back at the TDL?

Can’t wait for this, some guy gets taken and becomes a star and people pretend we would have drafted him
- ClaudeFather

this is guaranteed. there are already posters who have no idea about the 2022 draft commenting on it.

When we look back at how deep the 2022 draft was, some of the star players taken in the 2nd-round, I hope you all will remember this moment when you said you were happy with this trade.
- Tomahawk

doesnt mean the Flyers cant get a 2nd round pick back at some point between now and then.

To a t everyone loved that signing at the time -- revisionist history. people were jizzing in the streets that they locked up a 50+ point d-man to such an affordable contract

4.5 each year. So 9 million total yes, but only 4.5 on this years cap.

Agreed dude. Everybody did love that contract and it went south pretty fast. But you can't fault Fletcher for trying to undo a bad situation. This is the new reality in a flat cap era.

Nothing says they can’t acquire more picks for that draft at the deadline or next offseason. You were adamant about the “wait and see” approach for Seattle, but you won’t apply that to the Flyers?

The guy is a competent NHL player. He can help out any team, including the Flyers. chuckles gave away three assets for 4.5 million in cap space. That is asset is management plain and simple

Ghost, a 2nd and a 7th for nothing? Is this real? If it is, how many Flyers fans are bowing to this next move? This…this was Ghost’s value?

You saw him on waivers and not get claimed. Unfortunately you have to pay to get rid of bad contracts. As long as we dont give up 1sts I dont care. Our draft record with 2nd rounders is pretty god (frank)ing awful

His value was below 0, I praise the move as the guy was a train wreck on the ice and he gets paid for it, bravo once more fletch for winning another trade!

define "bowing"

As a fan I'm just doing what I literally can do which is...nothing.
