Really like the Ghost trade. Don't mind spending a 2nd & 7th for $4.5M of cap space over the next 2 years. If spent correctly, that can be a contributing piece this season. Or just bank it to have some cap wiggle room down the line after resigning Hart & Sanhiem and a backup.

If Ghost truly has no value, why don’t we trade Hagg for ghost straight up. Take on a bit of salary and get a proven 1st unit power play QB that can play on any pair in either side for statistically the worst defenseman in the league

Yeah, you're right. He's great at puck retrievals & outlet passes. And is a sick neutral zone defender. I'm not really sure what that means, but it apparently it's a very good thing. And he put up a ton of points just a couple of years ago. Guy just needs to get his confidence back, that's all. We shoulda been more patient. We don't need that $9M over the next two years. My bad
