This is your 21-22 NY Rangers
———————————————-
Panarin - Eichel - Kakko
Laf - Zib - Kravtsov
Kreider - Goodrow - Gauthier
Barron - Glendening - Rooney
They’ll still need another forward via UFA. Glendening would be my pick, signed as a 4th line center and clutch faceoff guy.
Runner up - Kuraly
*Ironically if these rumors are true, RW is a little short depth now
Lindgren - Fox
Gio - Trouba
Miller - Nils
Smith
Sign me up. The league better look out, the Ranguhs are coming! - Slimtj100
Glendening would be a Gallant guy but he loves living in Michigan. I'd rather pay him 3.6 for a year or 2 than Goodrow, that's for darn sure.

Showoff.
I just don't think we can afford Gio and a quality center. |

I think it works out with Strome off the books. |

Who is playing center for the 8 months Eichel will be on the shelf?
I love the idealism of having him in the lineup, but reality is were not gonna know what were getting until the end of the year/playoffs. - aecliptic
Good question. They'd be better off waiting until the deadline and getting a guy off a team that is trending poorly both in season and in the future (with a flat cap) than trading for Eichel now. |

Idk. But I do know that if that’s all we have to deal with upon getting him, and he’s healthy and it’s all behind him, we’re in great shape. |

Cap isn't an issue this year unless the Rangers make it one. Heck, they could pay Buch his arb number and still be ok. |

Dropping Strome, adding Gio and Eichel might be tough. I haven't crunched the numbers so I don't know for certain. |

Saving Buch money most likely too |

If Goodrow ends up playing with Eichel and Panarin at even strength, id bet with anyone he will have career highs in everything. Ill book him for 40pts in an 82 game season. - aecliptic
Blackwell was just on pace for 40 points playing with Panarin and Strome. If Goodrow didn't put up 40 points playing with Panarin and Eichel that would be pretty bad |

DeAngelo's contract will also be gone. Even after signing Goodrow, they'll have well over $20 million. |

I think Morgan Barron is the wildcard. If theyve been so stubborn about playing Chytil whos trash, they should let Barron get a crack at 3C as I think thats his spot anyway.
Playing Barron would also give them added cap relief. |

One way or another, a trade for Eichel is going to redefine this franchise for the next 5 years. |

I just don’t get how you trade for a guy with that contract who literally may never play again. That’s not the likely path his career goes down but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. |
