I don’t care, I think it’s a fun joke now.

I do think if he’s used proper *cough - not with stone hands Mikey cough* that he could help the team. I could see him being moved too.

- Garnie

Honestly, the Leafs need a couple of value guys in the lineup. Engvall is too expensive for the 4th line but he's great value if he could be a consistent 3rd liner. I think he has the talent (speed, size, decent enough mitts) if he could find the "hockey sense".

If they could line up two good 3rd liners with some size and grit I'd be cool with the Giraffe on one of the wings.

Hmmm yeah I dunno about that one, if Marner and willie drop the gloves I got a crisp 20 on Willie.

Willie looks farm boy strong for some reason, Marner looks like he would be physically overwhelmed from the force of a fart should he take the brunt of it.

- joel878

It depends. In the ring, Willie should win. But if Little Mitchy get a foreign object shot over the glass then it's advantage Little Mitchy.

Now Willie is the better scorer so he probably has a better finishing move. Like "The Walls of Willie" or "Sweet Willie Music." But Little Mitchy could use "The Mitchy I'm not clutch" or the "Playoff Leg Flop."

There's so many variables to consider and it's all just so random. Whichever player is the luckiest will win. We haven't even looked at their JFresh cards yet.

Fair, I was not calling you out. Generally looking for info on that one. I'd be interested in knowing how future krakheads feel about it.
- joel878

I just assumed by "local" they meant that his family/friends could make the 2 hour drive to watch him.

It's like all the local Toronto guys generally includes everyone from SW Ontario.

Marner just needs a puck to flip out of play should someone enter his 10' bubble and he will come out alive.

Yep, seems to have a couple good games and then some “wtf” are you doing games.

Also, I think his leash is short which makes it tough. Either put guys on the team or ship them. This bouncing guys in and out because they make a bad pass or take a penalty has gotta be tough to find a groove and some confidence. JMO

I’m talking on the ice, I’ve seen Nylander shy away and leave the puck more then any other hockey fellar not named Kessel in my whole life.

I used to agree with this, last season (especially playoffs) changed me.

Marner is softer than a tootsie roll fruit cup.

Man what a favour if this goes the way we hope it does.

Kerfoot gone. McCann in for cheaper. All for Hollander and a 7th.

- Aaron_85

The way I'm looking at it too. I like how Dubas pulled off that deal. Pretty cheap insurance, really.

I remember reading that it's been a bit of thing for Engvall throughout his career. Some really good stretches then he goes awol. He needs a mentor or a guy on his line that can keep him in the game and keep his feet moving. That speed and size would be huge if it all came together.

I don’t agree, but neither are going to throw checks. 🤷🏻‍♂️ That’s the problem with the team. Too many play the same way allowing the other teams D all the time in the world.

He’s not too expensive for line 4 imo.

Spezza makes up in his savings.

Uncle Leo makes 3.5 or something on line 4 🤣 in NYI

Put a shooter on his line and someone with some hockey sense.

Engvall Spezza Robertson or something

Uncle Leo was actually playing with Barzal alot of the time in the playoffs. Isles 4th line is Cizikas centering Martin and Clutterbuck.

Once upon a time, I had a boss who was always travelling.

He said that you should always order a special meal on an airplane - veggie, kosher, whatever - because they made it in smaller batches, so it was better.

I never tried it, but he swore it was true.

When I see him go a stretch of games without cowering/not heading to the bench on the backcheck/floating outside our zone I’ll give him some more respect...til then he’d be my choice of the 4 to go if needed.

I'll say it again, Marincin should go to the Hall of Fame in a new category of guys who somehow kept getting NHL contracts.

What stats am I ignoring?

The stats that show coaches always use Marner/Hyman/Matthews/Tavares before Nylander?
