He wanted McCann and was ready to lose Kerfoot. He wasn’t ready to give up Holl. The acquisitions and trades he makes now are what matters. If the team looks like last year, I’ll agree.

I've said this all along.... There were too many options out there for them, I genuinely think they passed on Holl at 2 million. He doesn't make their lineup.

There was zero need to protect him.

Montreal took the gamble and exposed their franchise goaltender and won. Dubas was afraid to gamble on Justin (frank)ing Holl.... That's tough. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I definitely didn't say Vegas would be garbage, but I didn't think they were going to the finals.

My memory doesn't recall Vegas passing on any Carey Price or Tarasenko calibre players. Am I wrong there?

I felt like Seattle was (frank)ing this all up the second I read their pricetag to avoid any player was a 1st and 3rd across the board. If that's accurate it's completely neutering their own potential before they even start work. Asinine.

I think by the time this list is finalized it's going to be clear as day that Holl wouldn't have even made their lineup. At that point it's a pretty easy gamble they weren't taking him at 2 million to press box him.

As per the latest edition of the playoffs, it's pretty clear Price matters to that franchise... A lot. Putting him out there to risk losing him for nothing is a huge gamble for them. Making it out unscathed is a win.
