McCann would be a better fit at 3C then Kerfoot is..
Dubas failed. - PatC80
Which is unfortunate cause now simpletons like max have some ammo to load into the cannon and we get to hear about it all summer long. |

Honestly all the leaks really ruined the expansion draft. Was looking forward to following it now it's just a big letdown |

Forget the 7-3 and 4-4 decision.
You have 3 assets involved in this.
Hallinder, Kerfoot, Mccann
Rank in order which you'd rather have today. - Santo_44
1- McCann better option at 3C
2- Hallander decent prospect
3- Kerfoot 3.5M cap hit would have been nice to move out |

Why forget the 7-3-1 aspect, it's kind of the entire point? Easy to prove whatever you want if you're creating your own filters. |

It was an expansion draft show...was it really going to be exciting?...for non Kraken fans? |

You seriously believe Kerfoot couldn't get more than (frank)ing Halinder?
I think Dubas knows the market and if Kerfoot was that invaluable none of this would be happening.
Wait and see what Dubas does with Kerfoot. |

They should have gone 7-3-1.. Holl better have a great season or it will look worse on Kyle Dubas |

I am surprised that's for sure.
But I am shocked of a lot of these moves right now. Seattle is looking pretty garbage. - Santo_44
That’s what most of us said about Vegas after their draft. Then we called their first season success a fluke and they would miss the playoffs for the foreseeable future.
Hockey fans don’t have a clue. But don’t try to tell them that. |

Grab any cheap player you want and fling him up on line 1...they should be fine if the can skate and have a little weight for the board game. - Garnie
A little weight, he'll need enough for himself and Marner combined. |

Although, Hallander only became a decent prospect once he was traded to the leafs, once he was traded away, he became a nothing prospect. |

I genuinely do not understand what Dubas has been doing of late. There have been some pretty wasteful decisions made over the past year or so and a lot of them are going against what the numbers suggest. Not a big fan.

Because 4-4-1 is the reality.
I think there is a strong argument 7-3-1 could have been better. For me I like Holl so I don't mind this.
We aren't going too agree on that so I am forgetting that part.
Seems to me we have middle ground here. Dubas kept Kerfoot and lost Hallander in the expansion draft. You are happier today with losing Hallender over Kerfoot. |

Mccann
Kerfoot
Hallinder
Dubas can change that based in the Kerfoot return. - Santo_44
The relevant order is
Holl @ $2M
McCann @$2.6
Kerfoot @ $3.5M
Hallander
7th

I definitely didn't say Vegas would be garbage, but I didn't think they were going to the finals.
My memory doesn't recall Vegas passing on any Carey Price or Tarasenko calibre players. Am I wrong there?
I felt like Seattle was (frank)ing this all up the second I read their pricetag to avoid any player was a 1st and 3rd across the board. If that's accurate it's completely neutering their own potential before they even start work. Asinine. |

This is false.
I know you have this obsessive hate for Leaf fans but no one has been obsessing over Hallender and no one has been calling him a nothing prospect. |

Not entirely. I would have preferred we work with #1, still have #2 to trade for assets at the expense of #3.

I am happy we have both Holl and Kerfoot today.
I don't want to see Kerfoot a Leaf next season though, I fully expect him to be traded. |

And I think Leaf fans will be pleasantly surprised with Kerfoot value just like fans were happy with Kapanens return. |
