I was prepared for that.

Another guy, like Leddy, who should be remembered fondly for his time here, but a guy I’m not exactly too upset to lose.

And, isn’t that like 16M freed now?

Agreed. Gotta protect Vegas' competitiveness! Even though they've been more competitive than like 28 other teams since entering the league.

Here's a question: Of the 30 other teams in the league that have to give up players, how many do you think would jump at the chance to trade their situation for the opportunity to operate under the model they created for Seattle? So, you have to give up your whole roster, but also all your bad contracts, and you get to pick a new team according to these rules...including being able to negotiate with everyone's UFAs before all the other teams. If you're like me and come to an answer that the vast majority of teams would take that deal in a heartbeat, then maybe the process is a little too skewed toward the new team in the name of making sure they're competitive.

$23.6 with the LTIR. I think we may still see a small shed of payroll.

I’m sure this has been discussed but once we sign Pelech, Beau and Sorokin, what do you think we left?

Your guess is probably as good as mine. I'd imagine:
Pelech 5 x 5m
Beau 4 x 4m
Sorokin 3 x 3m
Cizikas 4 for 3m
That leaves us with a good 8.6m
If we can still get rid of Leo, that would give us 11m for say Tarasenko (or Palmieri), Parise and a dman
