Geologist here... The evidence of climate change is real. Many different taxa are moving poleward to escape the heat, glaciers are retreating at rates which far outpace the norm in terms of geologic time, there are many different bio signatures which show the greenhouse gasses (which are coupled with avg. global temp) have exponentially increased since the industrial revolution. Like you said, climate has changed many times over the earths history but think of the rate of change. Our globes avg. temp has increased ~2-3 degrees C in the last 70 years. In geologic time, a natural change like that would need thousands-hundreds of thousands of years. Yet, we are supposed to go business as usual?

We are better off trying to live with the change then to try to stop. slow or reverse it

The planet will survive, will we? Maybe, maybe not. No species in the history of the earth is guaranteed survival beyond their certain point. Population is too big so there will be too much industry and pollution, It will get too hot at the equator and people will be forced to move north, then the north will be overpopulated. Famine/Disease will take over and the population will be reduced

At some point humanity finds a new equilibrium perhaps with an inhabitable central earth and smaller populations in the northern hemisphere. Then the reduced population causes the earth to cool, which causes people to move south, and the cycle repeats

It's far more likely we nuke ourselves into oblivion before any of that happens anyways
