I understand both sides of the argument, but if you are trying to be a rebuilding team, why wouldn't you want to keep your 1st and add another pick, earlier into your prospect pool?
I know Elias had said he wanted another winger, so Benning went out and got Miller, but, was the timing right? - Reubenkincade
I just don't think the JTM trade at this point, with how it has turned out so far,
Being a big plus in on ice performance,
Value for contract,
A winger for Petey, he has to play with someone,
and assets given up, after the fact...
is even a topic anymore almost 3 years after the fact, so once again...
Agree to disagree...
but as c-genic said, he still has value and probably more than he started with so i will give JB the win on this so long as he either a) re-signs him; or b) trades him prior to him becoming a UFA.
to re-iterate (and not for you specifically) i didn't like the trade because i didn't think the team was ready to compete so that if JTM plays well here, he'll effectively price himself out of this market when they're able to take the next step. - RealityChecker
Let's hope there's a new GM in place when Miller needs to be signed or traded.

I didn't really state a position, I only asked a couple questions.đ

Hearing the Bruins and Brandon Carlo have reached a long-term deal. Great move by Don Sweeney. Carlo a huge part of the Bruins.

Excellent move for them, was on my trade target wish list. Wouldâve been great for Hughes
Two of the more respected players in the league on the team. Miller, who has a reputation as a no-nonsense worker. Schmidt a players-player, loved by teammates because of his attitude and commitment. Ive never heard one journalist or credible source claim they pouted, just a broken loser who might have smoked too much weed for his brain to be functional. You calling anyone a whiner is ironic, crywood. - neem55
I didn't see anything about how he is respected in the league. Basically, that article had Miller and Green making some comments, not any players from his former teams.
Almost sounds like he was upset when Tampa told him he would be on the 3rd line. - Reubenkincade
