Habs just extended assistant coach Luke Richardson for the same amount of money as HC Ducharme .
That should go over well. |

Didn't Canucks do the same with Shaw and Green? |

Source?
Green should be looking over his shoulder anyway. He should have been gone IMO.
When I see that I think there is not a lot of room for error and Green deserves it.

Miller and Schmidt: problem child 3
This is one of the dumbest things youve said, which is honestly impressive at this point. |

I definitely see issues, i think they could add to the staff, replace or just hire some new as they have. Im glad they at least added. |

What's hilarious is that Sbisa put up 14 points in 30 games in Vegas the next year |

I was surprised to see Green return TBH. I thought for sure he was out of here . I don't know for sure but I think he will be getting a lot of help ( being polite ) of what he should be doing.

Has Miller ever expressed he didn't want to stay in Van? I thought he liked playing with Petey |

I agree on the hardball aspect. They haven't won anything yet so to lose their captain and solid top six player for nothing is not happening. - carsonagenic
Who knows what they're thinking. Both Landy and Saad are unsigned but they have younger guys in Newhook and Jost who are ready for bigger roles. All their big guys are signed except Landeskog and Grubauer, Jost is an RFA but he's not going to make much.
If they sign one big time player all they have to do is fill in the edges and they're golden. They won the coveted President's Trophy last year, they're doing something right |

Two of the more respected players in the league on the team. Miller, who has a reputation as a no-nonsense worker. Schmidt a players-player, loved by teammates because of his attitude and commitment. Ive never heard one journalist or credible source claim they pouted, just a broken loser who might have smoked too much weed for his brain to be functional. You calling anyone a whiner is ironic, crywood. |

I had a good laugh this morning. I was driving the wife and Halford and Brough announce JPat got a new full time gig . He is now the full time roving Canuck reporter for the Sekeres and Price blog.
How far has his career sunk. There is only one place left to go after that and he is already doing it with Drance . |

A 3rd for Schmidt?
I think any GM would roll the dice on that. But if he wants out, even JB should be able to recover a 3rd at least back.
And as for JTM... lots of people on here wined at the deal being too much surrendered for him to a team in cap trouble, but come on now... it was a win. |

I don't see either trade as a win. Benning had 2 teams with huge cap issues bend him over. One was absolutely miserable last season and the other wanted out before his first season here was finished.
Wasn't Miller the one crying about Markstrom & Tanev not being re-signed? |
