If I were him I'd rather be a head coach in the AHL if his ultimate goal is to become a head coach. If you win a Calder Cup or even make the finals, that usually earns you a few head coach interviews.

Wasn’t Torts dismissed? You would hope that they will start to turn the corner soon. I think Rick Nash is back with Columbus in a management position, hopefully he can change the culture there.

Nash is back and so is Dorsett. Nash said they are very aware of players wanting out . I think with Torts gone it will ease some of the pain but CBJ is not a popular landing spot still

It’s a bit surprising really. It’s not far from Lake Erie, access to major travel destinations, benefits of US taxes, decent travel schedules. I’ve never been there, but seems like a nice place to live/raise a family etc.

Parise LTIR in the future should've been easy with his injury history, Guerin seems like a straight shooter Burke type instead of a Tampa type. Doesn't want to bend the rules.

Parise played most of last year. Definetly banged up, but still. 9 mill is a lot for .5 ppg guy who looks to be healthy after a healthy year.
