As both a 20 year old and a 21 year old he saved the Flyers asses a few times in this first two seasons. His age and his play as a very young goaltender, which is rare in the NHL, is what makes him a great young starter.

pretty sure that they don't get the real one, it's a replica made out of the same materials and with the same engravings and everything

I’ve been told the #Canucks are taking calls on Loui Eriksson. Nobody is calling….but they’re taking calls.

by that definition, almost every team in the NHL has a great goalie

I guess that's true if you're comparing them to the average hockey player, but by NHL standards a .905% goalie is far from great.

Yeah I think there's a few of them, replica, best not to give a bunch of drunkass hockey players something of value like the original

Jim Benning is probably licking his chops and preparing a contract as we speak

I don’t think either of those guys are looking at the Canucks and thinking “that’s the place where I have the best shot at winning a cup next year if I take a league min contract for 1 year”.

It's the real one. They have a "presentation" one which is the one they have in Tampa, and a replica in the HHOF. The original cup was retired in 1970 or something though I believe.

The NHL is saying the cup will be sent to Montreal for repairs

“He’ll get more than Barzal.”

“Do they say “(frank) it, give him $7.2 million, let’s get everyone on the ice!”

“He’s kinda got them by the balls.”

“I’d say he’s a franchise guy, he’s a unicorn!”

that seems like a backward way of doing things, but I guess it makes it more special for the players.

At 21 years old Holtby was in the AHL, Carter Hart was starting his second year as the Flyers starter #great

Parise LTIR in the future should've been easy with his injury history, Guerin seems like a straight shooter Burke type instead of a Tampa type. Doesn't want to bend the rules.
