Why cause they both can't score when it's needed the most!! - Buff36
Nope because their fan bases think they're the center of their sports universe and they can't win when it matters the most |

Really what does Rhino bring more of then Tkachuk, it ain't points, hitting, fighting or even defense. So what does he bring. - Buff36
He signs almost everyone's Jerseys, hats, sticks, etc...and readily offers to have his picture taken with youngsters!!! |

Good points - Buff36
Reinhart can play both C/W and he’s a smarter player.
Tkachuk obviously is a gritty super skilled player but I’m not sure he’s as good as Reinhart
I don’t blame people for liking Tkachuk more |

Yeah, the issues for me with Tkachuk are his contract situation and him being kind of an ass.
I’d be willing to trade Reinhart to the Kings for 8 + and then turn around and flip 8 for Tkachuk if they know he will sign long term |

You can make 7m, 9m, and hit UFA or sign long term in Buffalo. Which would you take?

Of course, but that’s what you’d have to know before making a deal |

Of course, the inclusion of the second rounder is the interesting part of the proposal. You know that he considered putting a first in there. Probably thought he was throwing us a bone. |

Why would ANYONE sign with bad teams according to your logic then?
Security matters
Especially when u play the style of game Tkachuk does |

By your logic, he would have signed a long term deal with Calgary then.

No, not necessarily
Just bc someone is willing to sign with a particular bad team doesn’t mean they’re willing to sign with ANY bad team
Other factors come into play as well dude
Plus,
Calgary has reportedly been fed up with his antics- so who knows if they even want him long term?
*that was the rumor anyways
And most importantly…..
Tkachuk can’t be signed to a long term deal yet anyways. The new league year has NOT started yet- and he can’t be extended until it does
So maybe get back to me when u know what you’re talking about??? |

And also…..
Tkachuk can’t be signed to a long term deal yet anyways. The new league year starts on the first day of free agency
So unless there’s been a change to that I’m unaware of, he still can’t sign yet

Lot of words for nothing of actual substance.
It’s a valid question.
He’s a UFA in 2 years. Trading for him with no assurance is a giant risk |

Lol…. Are u Sbroads??
Sounds like some of his bullsh!t twisting of the specific point being discussed
Go back & re-read dude
He said by my logic, Tkachuk would’ve signed long term in Calgary
Except that’s IMPOSSIBLE at this point
He can’t do so till the new league year starts-
and it hasn’t yet
Although yes, i do agree in the scenario u laid out that it could be risky
Worst case (i suppose) would be that we have to flip him at some point |

You are right it is a big risk, some things would need to be worked out contract wise. But living a 11 hour drive away from home could help in that regard. |
