They're considering keeping JTM at center. But again other then Petey and BB playing together everything else seems up in the air.

If they land some targets. Plus cap shuffle out the unneeded. Then, the big makeover that Carol also brought up, will see new options for 3 scoring lines.

That's an expensive third line center plus you are going to need an expensive first line winger to play the petey and brock and hope they have chemistry.

Jtm Petey brock line is proven no need to mess with that, I'm sure Benning can find a decent third line center that has offensive upside.

Petey Boeser Bo Hogs Pods Miller.

Pearson can fill in as needed and will most likely start the year in the top 6 but I have a feeling he will be 3L material by the end of the year.

I have to admit I am not thinking 6 deep . This year I am thinking 9 deep. Canucks already have 7 so finding a winger and a center or two wingers is something I want.

It could come by trading for Reinhart (I hope not) or UFA sign Armia ? Get creative and go into next year 9 deep.

Schmidt for Debrusk? OJ for A Nylander ? Nichushkin for a second?

I would keep an eye on names like Garland Kadri (I don't care if people don't like his style. ) Compher , Johnson .

The D needs work. Kind of a priority. Which is why I want Edler gone to me keeping him here hampers the team at this point. When injuries hit Edler will be back to 25 min per game and we can't have that. Start the build around Hughes now. Acquire the complimentary D that he needs to succeed and all will be well. Use Schmidt (if he doesn't want to stay) maybe in hockey trade for a comparable D? OEL is not the answer either. His numbers are dwindling rapidly and maybe if they retained half his salary in a Schmidt deal...but not likely.

When Benning first started Aquaman had his fingerprints all over this team hence Virtanen pick and not rebuilding, as true fans could see needed to be done right away.

If Benning brings in two top 9 forwards and two Dmen this year I will be very happy . By top nine forwards I don't mean Motte and Highmore or Hawryluk.

Next year fix the fourth line and two more D . Two year plan. Didn't someone say it will take two years to fix?
