After watching Kucherov's presser and how Ovi partied all summer after winning the cup, I think the NHL needs more Russians in it.

Loved Kucherov trash talking the Habs fans!

- Marwood

It was refreshing lol

No more vanilla NHL player interviews would help the gane.

Did I upset you because I don't like shiny Hughes, or is it because I express my opinion openly and don't give a fuck what others think.

Everyone has a different idea of what a big win is though.
- VANTEL

Miller was a win. Next up for another key piece would follow that up nicely. Yes differing opinions out there for sure.

Giving up a controlled ELC pick magnifies the importance.

With the endorsement of Benning from ownership, you should feel confident that he will make a big splash in player additions. That Schmidt trade speaks columns of what to expect.
Just give him time, he’s got this.

- K-man25

JB is juggling a few balls atm. A splash will come & how he does overall will make or break next season & probably beyond.

Exactly my point . I thought Miller was a win but a fair amount of fans or media didn't feel the same.

Most thought the Schmidt trade was a huge win.

I liked the trade it wasn’t a loss. Next up is how to trampoline into the next deal. That’ll go under the microscope for sure lol

I still don’t. By the time the team is good he’ll be a UFA. If we’re calling Petey Pouty then Miller is Super Pouty.

Good player, I like him, but I’d rather they kept drafting and waited until he was a FA, or signed another guy they liked.

Now, if it had been Miller for a 3rd, I’d consider that a win.

That Schmidt trade really showed me how dumb not only Benning is, but how smart this fanbase is.
- Reubenkincade

Cost only a 3rd not much imo but reliant on what Schmidt is traded for or if a substantial rebound.

No it wasn't.
It was another example of Benning being too pumped too soon. Miller will be gone by the end of next season. He can go feel sorry for himself on another team.

Hughes is the classic 1 dimensional D man. Burns is a big example pun intended lol

It still comes down to designing a D corp that covers all bases & is far from that. 1 piece at a time.

Pros…added a legit top liner
Cons…a later pick ELC went out

Boils down to short & long term results. So far so good.

The 20oa pick for Miller

Is that a game changer or worth it?

It has been talked about over and over , like I said some will like it some wont . This is my point , if Benning trades this year pick there is going to be a percentage that will be against it. Damned if you do Damned if you don't .

I stand by my first comment that we don't even seem to know this draft who is good and who is not good . Opinions are all over the place even more than most years.

Aah ok. What would be your tune without him & waiting on the 20oa pick to develop?

Would you show your usual patience or move on to another gripe?

Could be? What has Miller accomplished here? He’s good and all that, but my opinion is they should have kept building. Without Miller they probably aren’t in the thingy, the pick is much higher than 20th and they get another dynamic player. If it doesn’t make sense I’m sure Nucker can fill you in on the butterfly effect.

Keep in mind it would have been a better pick if we didn't have JTM. I dunno how much... but he was a big contributor.

Trading a 9oa vs 20oa is a bigger gamble. 20th was not all that expensive but 9th could back fire.

The guy can't hit the net if he tried. I seen him play a few times. Good defensively . His aim is so bad that one game after a bad play he took his helmet off in frustration and threw it on the floor . He missed.

Yeah but from the comments I have seen on here you very easily could be drafting Gaunce all over again at 9

Also same for you…

Could you be patient with the rebuild without Miller? Top 6 wingers were not very deep at all.
