It won't be in the nature of 4.5 X 4 Years like the Flames overpaid for Tanev I would think. What would you offer Hamonic to stay or we just move on?

If you aren’t willing to pay your #1 RSD - the partner for your future Norris winner - $4.5m you are out to freaking lunch.

I’m sure Jim will get a bargain deal done, Hamonic will
probably leave $ on the table just to play with such an outstanding young core. Can you imagine him and Schmidt anchoring the right side for 4 more years?
Get er done Jim.

Exactly, Hqmonic proved last year that he belongs. His stellar defensive play allowed Hughes freedom to roam and play the style that makes him that future Norris Trophy winner. The pair was the backbone of Canucks defense and with Edler on his way out, he should be a top priority signing.
Come on Jim, get er done.

I Goggled "Norris trophy winners" to see if any past winner had a similar skill set to Hughes and the very first link that popped up was Adam Fox accompanied with this picture...

Saw a tweet the other day that said Gourde was a walk on try out at the Utica camp in 2017 and was among the first cuts…

Edit, maybe it was 2013 actually.

Makes sense. In the article that Lefty posted, they talked about developing from their farm system.

In an article from Chris Faber, Ryan Johnson talked about developing players under Cull has been much better than the past, especially under Green.

The only thing Schmidt will be anchoring is a boat with that brutal contract.

I bit the bullet on the Napoleon Prestige500 with side and rear infrared burners today. It comes standard with rotisserie.

I think it was the last one in the maritimes. Amazingly, I got a bit of a discount because it was a floor model. Saved $75 and it's assembled.

Still set me back $1800 though.

Good purchase, I bought the Weber Genius II, was about $1800, including taxes. I put mine together, solid bbq.
Let’s see how they both perform over the next few years. I have had mine 6 weeks, already used a propane bottle, I use mine 5-6 days a week.

Hard to go wrong with a Weber. I'll be using this probably 4-5 nights a week. I still like to use my kamado style grill sometimes.

I'll probably take a year or two and decide on wether to go with a pellet grill or upgrade my kamado. The Kamado I want is over $3K so the wife might kill me.

A lot of those country folk out in Metchosin need a rotisserie to roast the rabbits they catch for dinner, so I imagine he's got one with the Weber.

But you'll have years and years of enjoyment out of it. I know people who spend that kind of money on dinner and drinks at a restaurant.

Read a great article on how to care for your BBQ and they suggest never use a cover that rests directly onto the BBQ as it traps moisture causing it to rust. I've had my Napoleon now for 5-6 years (charcoal), never covered, and it looks the same as the day I bought it. I just keep it under the deck's overhang and wheel it out when in use.

In the US south they use 'BBQ Shelters'.

The only issue I have with mine is the bolts become loose over time with the heating and cooling of the metal. I have to access the bolt cap nuts from the inside of the kettle which is a messy endeavor.

Unlike those in the capitol city, who need one for their vegetable medley they harvested from their community garden. Nothing like a slow roasted turnip.

Funny....I never cover ours in AZ but I covered ours in Victoria and it rusted out within five years, a Napoleon. Might be onto something there?

Been trying to find comparable players to figure out what Hamonic next contract could look like.

They are just not pretty contracts.

Kris Russell 4x4 that was 4 years ago

Marco Scannella 4x3.275 signed last year

Not pretty contracts for those types of defenders.

I would like him back but I think the most I would go for him would be 3x3. NTC for the first year, 16 team NTC second year and none in the final year.
