Agreed but coaches will go with experience over youth almost everytime in the playoffs.
- BashCH

Yeah unfortunately. Oh well, I very much doubt it'd have been enough to put them over the top anyway. There's lots to be excited about with this team.

Staal, Perry, Byron, Evans, Lehkonen.... Can we definitely say they're all better than KK? We really can't. But that's on the coach. There's a lot of questions, and excuses to be made. I'm not saying fire DD, BE but he's av young coach, too

Listen we don't score, we lose all of the games at try. They played well, we beat the Leafs, swept the Jets, and worked hard to win over LV.

Habs have a lot to be proud of, despite the loss. Hopefully it helps moving forward.

- Darksyde

I dunno, I don’t think putting kk in for any of those guys would of made a significant difference. Tampa was just too good.

Now let's see how the team will try to improve during the off season.

This all the way. There's unlikely to be any moves in any of the coaching or general manger positions, so what happens now, and where does it lead?
Simple response is we have no idea. And we don't. Credit to the Bolts for shutting us down, but there are a lot of questions for next year.
It will be interesting for sure.
We all need to give Karine thanks for the work she's done. Thank you, and keep it up!

Well with the contracts they have I think they are pretty handcuffed. Just hope the young kids improve and the older guys don’t have a huge drop off. I think one issue that needs to be addressed tho is a qb for their pp.

Defintiely our weakest position by far. Unless Ovechkin or Landeskog would want to play for the Habs at a decent price, it'll probably have to be through trades. Trading for a winger shouldn't be too too hard though.

What a run.

Very proud of our team. They really gave it their all.

Very proud of the amazing members of the #Optobus.

It's been quite the ride this year, and you guys were a big part of it.

Thank you.

They'll probably lose Chiarot to expansion, Tatar likely won't be resigned, and I'd say Drouin will be sent out West to get a fresh start.

I hope the earlier Drouin speculation was as wild a speculation was it was.

Best to him regardless.

Let's see what next session brings!

Well guys, it was fun. It’s over but it will forever stay in our memories as the Cup run we never saw coming and the one that made it clear that Price deserves his place in the rafters. When you lose the 4th game 1-0 on a perfect play, it’s not on the goaltender....This team wouldn’t have gotten anywhere near the final without him. Post game blog will be posted tomorrow, i need to digest the disappointment lol

At least this will be the shortest Summer the Habs have given us in quite a while and there will be plenty to keep us busy. The conclusion of the Drouin drama, the conclusion of the Danault one, the expansion draft, the draft and the free agency, fear not, it will keep us busy for sure.

Crazy how quickly we'll have to switch our focus towards the future.

We'll barely get a few days to digest this and move on.

Despite being absolutely void of talent, the hard work paid off with a fantastic run. Its unfortunate and painful to see the final playoff run by this group ultimately getting so close to the cup yet falling short.
