Can't see why they would keep them.

I feel a little bit the same way about KK and stall, but I'm not the coach. Let's hope he comes back next year and has a strong season.

Do you think we could see Fleury next season as well on the right side?

I think Bergevin will need to go after a puck moving defenseman this summer. Hard to say...lots will happen from here on to training camp.

I think Seattle might pick Allen but they could pick a d from Montreal as well.

Other than Hamilton I'm not sure what's out there and he will get paid.

Just depending on who we lose will change our needs.

It also depends what we do about Danault, Drouin, Tatarrrrrrrr.

We know Tuna is leaving but the other two....

And if they both leave.... do we need to find a new Quebec player or is Harvey-Pinard making the team by default?

Pretty sure Danault is staying now. They need him and he will get paid. I think Drouin is done in montreal, but this is coming from a chicken.

that will depend on the new legislation and the Quebec-born required ratio of players for the habs that will be imposed by Legault

I like Danault, I hope he stays.

But I still wouldn't give him over 5M per year.

We got young players coming up and other needs we can use that cap space on if needed.

Let's hope they can find an agreement.

As for Drouin, it's a complete unknown at this point. If he comes back, fine, he'll play and hopefully we'll see the "better" side of him.

I'd rather have the cap space but we're not just giving him away with the flat cap, we'd have to pay for someone to take him.

of course, she's the one that will propose the whole thing (thank god she knows more about hockey than the mayor of Tampa)

depending on the circumstances, if he wants to leave MTL there might be some teams showing interest, no? if he gets his poop together I'd prefer he stays, he'd be an interesting addition to this group with his set of skills

on the trade market : Seth Jones, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Rasmus Ristolainen Mattias Ekholm, Vince Dunn, Josh Manson, Matt Dumba?

Don't know about UFAS. All this would need to happen after the Seattle draft, I think

there's always a gm out there thinking he will be able to generate something from nothing. not sure MB will have to pay to get ride of #92, the return should be close to 0 thouh.

Normally, I'd agree.

With the flat cap out there.... unless that team is Seattle.... I don't see it.

The money he can make in pizza endorsements alone will pump up his possibly leaner contract.

we don't even know if he will want to come back to the NHL. Salary would be off the book. Hard to say.

I can see the commercials now...
"Honey, what do you want for dinner?"
"I dunno.."
Doorbell rings, there's Danault, holding a piping hot pizza..., "Sounds like a great idea!"

meh, the possibility of adding a top6 winger, former 3rd overall, yes with a 5M cap hit but who would cost nothing to acquire... it will happen. he only has 2 years left, not that big a risk.

I also have the feeling there will be interest. can't wait to see what happens in his case because we've been speculating for so long about him without really knowing anything

I went with Pizza Pizza because, as far as I remember, it's the one being served at the bell centre.
