i dont think the habs will protect drouin, so seattle could either choose drouin allen or edmundson, it ll be up to bergeving to make a deal with them so they choose the player we want them to choose - JawnyS
Hell, leave Drouin on the LTIR all year, then bring him in for the playoffs! |

I dunno Darky, I think he’s done.
Not just with the habs, but hockey in all.
It’s a sad story I’m sure, but he needs to be off the books.
If that sounds harsh....sorry.. |

so impressed by Caufield...Suzuki a monster game...DD brilliant to finally put Anderson on that line and they delivered a thrilling game....team rallied around Webers late high stick and killed a 4 minute penalty...this team battled all night...no quit...love this team! - Hockey Pucker

I know, I guess I'm hoping for the best for him, and for the Habs in general. If he can recoup, and maybe he can be a positive force in the playoffs? That would be a story worth the female doging other teams will do about the cap circumvention, lol.
In all seriousness, if he's done, then he needs to retire. He's not over 35 (I think that's the age), so then the cap hit would come off the books. If he makes a comeback later in life, then awesome. He has some really hard decisions to make, and I don't envy him in the least. |

I don't even understand how people come to all these conclusions when in reality no one knows (frank) all about the situation

players can come back from serious long-term injuries, or even cancer, but mental health issues? nah bro he's done.

Yeah, that was more my take on Pete and his assertion that he was done.
I hope he's gonna recover and come back, if not with the Habs, with another team. I have my own issues, and to believe it's a doom sentence really isn't the best idea for me to dwell on. |

yeah, it's not entirely impossible he doesn't come back and actually "retires", but to already be convinced he's done is kind of an ignorant take, especially since we don't have any details... I have many friends that had their own serious issues, and today they're completely fine and live very normal lives. |

At this stage I think everyone is just guessing and we won’t know until the season is done. With all that’s happen and the fact that he didn’t come back for this Cup run though, it seems logical to think he’s played his last game with Montreal. Clearly the pressure from the medias and fans got to him, you can tell by the Danault presser when the announcement was made, but to forego the chance to play for the cup, the man clearly doesn’t want to play here anymore the way i see it. My guess is that he’s ready for a new beginning elsewhere but it’s just a guess like everyone elses. |
