Was it really all Ducharme? Or some of it came from the GM
- Fredobbface

All of his moves worked (Toffoli, Anderson, Allen, Edmundson, even Perry). You could add drafting Caufield.

Either way that's an indictment of DD wouldn't you say? Either he has made questionable choices or he's been neutered. Either way that doesn't make me confident in him

You don't trust a guy who took this team to the SCF?

The post was about Romanov and KK and it was directed more @Romanov.
- Fredobbface

My comment was purely about Kotkaniemi. They let Suzuki mature in the OHL. They let Caufield mature in the NCAA. They let Romanov mature in the K. But they were certain Kotkaniemi was ready at 18 and said they didn't think it would hurt his development. Winning 3 rounds shouldn't prevent tough questions from being asked and those responsible being held accountable

Did he? Or did MB? Can't have that one both ways. If he did then DD needs to be accountable for the fact he thought Caufield also wasn't worthy of playing. So is DD doing it or MB? Can't have it be DD for the good and MB the bad or vice versa

Even Staal worked in the PO

Merrill and Gustafsson not so much but they seem decided to die with them

He has the job next season for sure.

Bergevin will be back if he still want the job.

Yeah I think the third d pair has been a big weakness. They overplayed their top 4 big time.

Well Bergevin is still under contract next year, so he'll be back for sure.

I don't see how Ducharme is not back next season.

I don't think there's any bad about losing in the SCF to a super-team 18M over the cap better than you at every position.

This I agree with because it'd be almost impossible for them to do differently and not have massive public backlash

I'm getting tired of calling the Boston decline, so I'll assume they make it until they don't.

Toronto/Tampa/Boston are IN.

Montreal and Florida will battle for 4th.

Bruins have an interesting off-season to say the least ...

It's not even a pair, they don't trust them enough to play together, they spot them in one of the top 4 every 2 shift to give one of the big guy a break.

They sure do.

Alot of cap space available but big pieces to bring back/replace.

I agree, I've been very happy and enjoyed the (frank) out of this run. But I'm also able to step back when doing the autopsy and say yeah the results have been great but the process has been questionable. I can also look at it and say honestly to myself that the last 7 weeks or so nearly everything has broke the Habs way and that the results aren't overly likely to be repeated by this same group.

Winning the lottery doesn't mean it was smart to buy a ticket

Will they try to keep Hall? I read about Debrusk here and there as a goner.

yeah it's weird they are in the SCF yet if we are being honest they probably were one lost to the leafs away from a complete management overhaul.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle

Let me rephrase that for you :

Just because you didn't get AIDS when you shared needles with that hippy doesn't mean it was a good decision
