I like this
Toffoli-danault-Gally
anderson-suzuki-cc
byron-evans-lehk
kk-stall-perry.....
i dont see how they can sit kk and not mess with his confidence going forward

- braidan

he's done more good than bad, he deserves to play, especially on a team that is struggling offensively

Yup, and better odds than winning the lottery too.
- apex123

yeah, mathematically it doesn't really make any sense to buy lottery tickets, but hey, you can't win if you don't play

meh I'd rather not mess with the kid when you can put armia who may or may not be back anyways
- braidan

I would put Romanov on 3rd pairing, he needs confidence as well, nothing to lose at this point

Long story short, save percentage of .838 from Price is not going to cut it. Turnovers and lack of scoring aside

I know his play obviously still needs work but the coaching staff seems to see him as a bigger defensive liability than we do. either that or they're somehow trying to "protect" him, which would just be dumb

Price isn't the issue, you can't win against a team like TB by just relying on otherwordly goaltending all the time.

Yeah, as long as you get enjoyment out of the lottery ticket that's the main thing.

That was the difference in Game 2 when there was one second left and TB went up 2-1. Also 1st goal of Game 3, those are momentum killers and 2 saves he should have made. He may not be the issue, but for us to have a chance his save percentage needs to be at .900 or above

the team in front of him isn't playing the same way as they did in previous series, they're struggling to find answers to TB's roster.

Price himself acknowledged he has to be better, but I do agree the entire team is struggling. Their style of airtight defense and heavy checking through the first three series has them burnt out.

Well we could have been at 2-1 instead of 3-0, TB is definitely in his head so that’s also why it’s part of his issue. But whatever it is what it is

They also made some turnovers in the Vegas series but MAF helped us out with his blunder

meh, he's made some damn nice saves too, I don't think they're necessarily "in his head", he simply has no margin of error. if they lose people are automatically gonna say he wasn't good enough, while he's one of the main reasons they're in the final in the first place. not saying he should get a complete "free pass" but he's been part of the solution wayyy more than part of the problem. let's cut the guy a bit of slack for once lol

I am cutting him and the team slack, I'd be alot more mad if this is how they were playing against Toronto, but they've exceeded expectations so much I can forgive the bad play as them being exhausted. Kinda sucks to come this close and still be so far from the cup, but it's been a good run win or lose tomorrow. If they could just get some absolute top notch D prospects, this will be a good team for years to come.

Leaves sour taste in my mouth which somewhat negates all the good things Price and team has done last 3 rounds

agreed. it'll probably take me a bit of time before I truly appreciate what they did if they get swept but it's been an awesome run for sure.

I don't think that's a good way to look at it. Yes it sucks balls to lose against those diving cheappoop artist (frank)s, but our young forward core looks supremely promising. If anything I think this series has been a lesson that we need a younger more mobile backend so we don't get hemmed in and can attack more effectively. And also so they're not burned out at the cup finals.
