I know Hamilton has been around a bit (so might potentially be a character problem), but I wonder if he'd be interested in playing for the Habs. He d be an upgrade over Weber and probably the Habs best Dman.

Does it even matter? Everything good the Habs ever had from the last 20 years come either from the draft or through trades, premium free agents don't come to sign here unless we start to ridiculously overpay them to the point of completely screwing our salary cap for years to come. We are always left with the unloved scraps and pray that they can turn their career around and bring more value than the money we signed them for.

This trip to the SCF has open up a lot of doors for FA and trades the question now is can MB put together a team that can knock off the top dogs next few seasons
