OK, so here goes:
All of those names, forwards, d-men....good players, could have an impact on the rebuild and even going forward on a longer-term contract. But......I didn't see any goalie names. You referenced "CBJ netminders, but no names. Everyone kicks my teeth in when I say take Wallstedt at #6 because we have NO goalies developing in our system.

So, my question is; if we don't draft, don't trade or sign....how the hell do we get a goalie? There's no aisle in Meijer where we can just grab one, guys. At some point something needs to be done. Otherwise the Zamboni driver becomes the back-up to the pilot of Red Wing 1. I seriously think that attention needs to be paid to those areas where we are the most-lacking, and the G spot (see what I did there?!?!?!?! ) is a glaring hole, especially if Petro floors it (you're welcome), and heads outta the Wing's system.

I mentioned trading for Chris Driedger’s rights. That’s why I brought up the CBJ trade. CBJ has 2 goalies that they’re consider trades on either. But Driedger was the goalie on the list

You did, and I apologize for missing that!!!

I still like Walstedt......and IF given the chance, drafting him is something I'd be on like Homer Simpson on a doughnut...the really good ones; warm cinnamon-sugar, right out of the oven, just like the do at Yate's Cider Mill.......

No worries! I like walstedt too. If Yzerman grabs him zero complaints. I lived next to Apple Charlie’s in Néw Boston. We’d get donuts fresh out of the oil on saturdays. They were a little crispy and amazing.

I wouldn't mind if Yzerman looked at Garland, Dunn and Niku off that list if the price is right.

Goalies is the least of the Wings problems. Plenty of them as UFAs every year and plenty that can be traded for that won't cost a lot. Hell the Sens have Murray locked up and have Forsberg, Daccord, Hogberg and Gustavsson that played for them this season. They also have 6'8 Mads Sogaard and Leevi Merilainen in their system. This is from just 1 team so there are plenty of ways to fill the goaltending for the Wings without having to do something stupid and draft a goalie at 6th overall.

While there are good hockey players on the list, the Wings need core players and plugs. You dont want to give up assets for plugs, you give them up for core players. Stay the course and suck it up again next year.
