If the Isles who I seriously believe have less talent than the Habs can take them to game 7, I dont see why they can't get to game 7 and then get a few flukey goals.

It’s hard to say. Carolina is a really good team and Tampa just (frank)ing steamrolled them.

I think you underestimate NYI. a lot.

I keep asking the question of who's great on that team besides their coach and Barzal and it's pretty hard to answer that question. Lots of solid players, but certainly not more talent than the Habs. Maybe they got luck that Montreal won't get. Oh well, time for game 2, I hope they can adjust like they did against Vegas and game 5 against Toronto.

Cooper whining about a clear penalty when leading 4-1 was also something

Ya I commented on that earlier… as annoying as it is, it works. I wish Richardson or Ducharme would do it more.

see, I disagree. just as talented imo, but bigger. also a few very good dmen who can support the offense. Habs? beside Petry not really.

TB is wise - we don't have legit stars up front so they tried to break Gallagher all night because he's heart and soul. And they may have succeeded already.

I think we’ll see adjustments and a cleaner performance in game 2. But I don’t know if it will be enough. This Tampa team… just wow.

Well I'd take Price over Varmalov, and although their D are probably more mobile I'd take our top 4 over there's too, just for shutdown capability alone. Weber can support the offense with his shot, though his busted hand seems to be preventing that at the moment. The Isles certainly play greater than the sum of their parts, I'll give them that, but in terms of raw talent I really don't see them comparing to Suzuki, Price, or Caufield outside of Barzel.

Tampa deserved the win for sure, sand if we know one thing about WWE...I mean NHL DOPS, it's slamming a helmetless head after the fact is, indeed, a, "Hockey Play" only punishable by a $5k fine.

You said nothing of any substance. That they are just as talented, but bigger ( I can only assume you mean upfront, but have no idea who you're talking about otherwise, I guess Nelson maybe?) and have a more offensively skilled and mobile d core. I assume you mean Leddy and Pulock, but like I said I'd take our top 4 d over them.

alright you want me to detail it.
yes I meant upfront. Lee, Barzal, Nelson, Eberle, Pageau, Bailey, Palmieri, Beauvillier.... thats's 8 forwards who are not 20 y/o kids like Caufield, KK and Suzuki. all very capable of scoring, and like I said quite big when you count the others. do they have a Lekhonen on the top6? they also have a good 4th line who is not 100 y/o.
on the blue line, they have Leddy, Mayfield and Pullock who can join in.
imo, NYI are tougher to play againts than the Habs. ask TB for fun. the next few games will tell us.

MTL isn’t finished yet. They should get back to that suffocating forecheck that they employed in game 5 against TOR and hopefully bury they’re chances that they get from that.

Game 3 they can get matchups like the Denault line against the Point line and Suzuki and Caufield better matchups where they can get time and space. They have to play physical but not get sucked into the cheap stuff. Chiarot and Weber are getting so much pressure so the forward have to do more to help bail them out.
