I think we have all come to grips that the Sabres are going to be a lottery team.

Some of the really good teams are in cap hell.

It is time to take on a few contracts and get some higher picks/prospects out of it:

exhibit A: Tyler Johnson

45 point player with some real experience under his belt.
$5 million cap hit for 3 more years. Actual money owed is a little more than $4.6 per year.

Only issue is his modified NTC

Johnson and a prospect like Katchouk and a mid round pick for a 6th...

As much as I enjoy MFE, I'm not overly sold on having him and Adam Mair as the player development staff.

That doesn't scream success to me.

Thing is, those types of grinders often make good coaches. Every player who was drafted has skills. Every player who played in the NHL knows what it takes to make it.

Speculation that Johnson would waive for Seattle as he is from the area

It really is. The time it takes for a team to interview candidates vs another team has absolutely no bearing what so ever on the success or failure of that team. If that new coach is to have further personnel decisions, you'd want to give him enough time to work with the GM. Other than that, it is utterly irrelevant, and getting upset about it is even more so.

God it makes me feel so dumb I have to talk about this. I might need to get therapy over this one.

This is what dumb people do. They really cause existential conundrums and I'm not even more than what's probably average I.Q. these days.

But see that's the rift in the population. We clearly have a bunch of 120 I.Q. and above people on one side, and then a bunch of 85-100 I.Q. people on the other side.

Forest Gump was 78 I.Q. and considered "legally retarded" during the era his mother tried to enroll him in school.

The biggest problem now is that we don't have any 100-120 I.Q. people to level out the dumb ones and mediate the two brain-classes.

Furthermore, it's not our political affiliations that divide us, nor do I truly believe it is our "race" or "color" that defines us. We live in a class society, and classism is the new racism and we need to catch up to the upper-classes - So full of inner-breeding and "keeping it in the family" because of wealth.

A 120 I.Q. person will never be able to successfully communicate with an 85 I.Q. person. They cannot relate. The higher I.Q. will become dumber - And you won't level out at 100, you will succumb to the disease of stupidity.

Yet a 100 I.Q. can communicate with both the high-end quotient and the low-end quotient. The biggest issue here is that the 100 I.Q. people are the upper-classes, and they refuse to communicate with us in the name of wealth and status. They bark at each other and call it Congress, and we partake in a farcical vote to elect a Commander-in-Chief to be their puppet to the world. He gets to constantly go on vacation because of it. His family, too. And he gets paid.

So, I think the Red and the Blue, the Right and the Left, could facilitate communications on a productive enough level to quell the rising tensions between what is clearly a divide in beliefs and ideals; Interpretation of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The problem is the very-low I.Q. people clinging to their chimp-genes on either side. They just like to pack-up and chimp-out and hoot and holler and make a big fuss and stop juuuuuusst shy of throwing poop and raping and pillaging - we have War for that, after-all.
