Not a bad AAV, however that’s a contract where the last 3 years of it you’re begging to ship him off to Siberia
- Pegullaville

Have to see the breakdown, I assume its a front loaded deal where cash is less than AAV at the end.

That wont be a hard contract to move if needed.

The good news for them is the cap will be higher by then. $5m will be more like $3.75

RNH got most of his points on the PP this past season, and although special teams are extremely important, you have to question when the decline starts if he is already faltering at even strength.

Perhaps, I doesn't play a bruising game, so def could play, not up to his standards, but play decent enough through the contract.

Full NMC in there as well... If he's moved, he gets to pick. Prolly thinks there's a decent shot at a cup if he's attached to McJesus and Drai.

You made a good point about the handshake agreement though.

Perhaps Edmonton wasn’t comfortable letting it get that far though because it may have pushed the AAV up ?

I guess we’ll never know haha

That’s what Sam is worth. Offer him that
- Fattony1187

I'd take it in a heartbeat. Sam is going to want more cash than that as a 25 year old who is smack dab in his prime

Not that it's like incredibly important, but you just don't get to protect the 8th forward you wanted to.

He’s probably also over these bridge deals. Could def see a max term.

Not only that, but RNH already got 42M over 7. He's made the money. RNH career earnings are 45M vs Sam's 15M. Bought time he gets paid.

Yeah. With this contract RNH now has $85m in guaranteed career earnings.

Reinhart is at $15m

He's going to want to get some of that sweet, sweet cheddar

Edit: late. SDSabre nailed it

COVID cap.

I think deals are going to be lower than most expect due to a flat cap for the next 3 years.

I'd rather have RNH locked up, more important then worrying I may lose devin shore or kassian

That's fair, and who knows how the deals would have looked otherwise. I was just saying, having both couldn't have hurt.

if i remember correctly, a draft party was held at albright knox and when they announced the pick the fans went ga-ga over it

If Kassian was from Indiana, he would have made Milan Lucic look like Tim Connolly, in terms of toughness.
