Watch him throw the entire hockey universe a curve ball and keep Jack, Sam, hire Boudreau, trade Risto, trade for Elvis, Gaudreau, sign Savard...πŸ˜‚

If kagm doesn't like the offers. Eichel will not be moved for ror type trade value.

Eichel will probably sit out all season with a back injury.

Then come back kuchorov style and join the Sabres in the playoffs.

As long as someone else runs them. 716 was sold to Southern Tier. PSE fail
- Michael Pachla

Southern Tier has been looking to get into Buffalo for a while with all the brewery expansion. The pandemic had more to do with it than a Pegula fail, though not all of it. If Southern Tier didn't buy it, someone was going to give them an offer they couldn't refuse.

If only the roster was 1/4 talented enough to pull that off...

I agree, but Adams has a LOT on his plate (he's got his country's 500th anniversary to plan, his captain to trade, his captain's co-pilot to trade, his wedding to arrange, his wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it. He's swamped).

Hopefully he sheds some light (if Granato's interim tag is removed) on why the announcement took so long.

I’m sure there will be A LOT of taxpayer $$$ involved in the new stadium
That’s just the way it goes

And it’ll likely be downtown
Which will be sweet

- jdfitz77

Could be, and if it is downtown it will cost even more just for putting in the infrastructure to get to the Stadium will cost a lot.

My parents moved to Jacksonville a few weeks ago. Going there for sure.

Have flights booked to Nashville but I may have to bail on that one. Looking at Tampa as well.

putting it downtown would be a colossal waste of money. there is nothing sweet about it. The game day atmosphere would suck down there.
They cant have events for 75000 people outside of football games until the hotel room count goes up ten fold in Erie county anyways making that point totally moot. I'm just wasting my breath as I am sure people that own multiple businesses and rental properties throughout town already know all of this anyways.

Orchard Park is the "right" answer. New England proved you can make a remote location work. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Tampa is ridiculous too.

I have family in KC as my mother grew up there. I still don't see myself going there unless I win the Powerball between now and then.

There are almost as many ticket holders from Ontario and Rochester as there are from Erie County (probably more). Putting the stadium in the city does nothing other than overwhelm an infrastructure system just to say "look at us".

it would add a little rush to tailgating and leaving the stadium though.

If they put a stadium downtown, I would absolutely park at UB South and take the train in.

Can you imagine the poopshow? It's already terrible for Sabres games

Edit: Same goes for the surface streets leading to the 190

I would think they would increase the amount of trains coming in and out but you're right, it wouldn't be fun. The city just isn't built to hold a venue like that.

Also, any sign of bad weather and the Skyway/Route 5 closes, causing further problems. It would be a nightmare.

The city refuses to admit the Skyway was a mistake by: "Improving" the skyway

The arena is in a back-corner, seedy part of the city right next to some wonderful project towers, sorry, "income-based apartments, and only a few blocks from the famous Perry projects, actual projects.

Back behind the arena going towards Tift is where they did the right thing. That area looks fantastic now, going over the steel grate bridge.

No Stadium would fit there, let alone work.
