The biggest problem for me with Marner is the cap hit. Half the cap on 4 forwards in insane. They already had Tavares and Matthews signed, why the (frank) is Marner getting that contract? Should’ve been a 3x7 deal.

I don’t care if they keep Marner and trade Nylander instead. I think that’s the wrong decision since Nylander is playing at/above his cap hit.

No team has won with a single cap hit of 10m or more (as of now), and the Leafs have 3 and can’t even win a round.

Yes an argument can be made for that. especially when one of those four that you are depending on is knocked senseless out in game one.

Sometimes knowing when to do nothing is the best move you can make. Lets be honest most ppl think isles will finish last every year and every year they are widely successful

The top guys aren’t consistent enough in the playoffs.
The bottom-6 is crap (except Spezz).
The defence is average at best.
And goaltending is a massive question mark.

Marner is what he is. you cant make an apple be an orange. Marner is a dangerous weapon. find more than mathews as a shooting option. and now you have a defense and goalie guessing. Think about it. even the point isnt a shooting option. just mathews. should have put nylander with them after tavares injury. my opinion
