The Canucks GM has stats he wants to bring more size and strength to their defense. Stan needs to immediately pick up the phone and call Benning to unload Zadorov. - DarthKane
Stan needs to call him early in the morning before Benning has had his meds. I think that's how he got Hobey Baker winner Gaudette for Highmore. |

Seeing all of the centers listed out like that...we do have a lot, and I spaced about Borgstrom. Who out of those are really projected to be top 6, though?. Dach, yes. Maybe Kurashev, reichel, or borgstrom become that, but I still think they should pad that position a bit in their prospect pool.
One thing I have noticed about Bowman, is that he loads up on the types of players that they are missing, and then waits for the cream to rise to the top. That's why I think they will pick a center again this draft with that #11. He has been loading up on centers lately, ones with any top 6 potential. Although with that list, maybe he has enough now. If that is the case, I bet he goes with a winger, possibly RW. - ToewsdNKanefusd
It seems that he has loaded up on guys that play C/W. Reichel, Suter, Kurashev, Dach (I believe he played quite a bit of wing previously, but I could be wrong). He's signed Shaw, Carpenter, etc. The only problem is that they never seem to get a really GOOD center out of it. That is why I'm hoping that Borgstrom rises to the top. |

Z and a 4th to the Canucks for Ferdland 2x3.5M, Beagle 1x3M, Virtanen and their 1st. They need the cap space to sign Hughes and Pettersen and net about 5.5M in the deal.
Hawks get the 9th pick and another project in Virtanen. - boilermaker100

This. He needs surgery on his neck that wasn't approved by the organization. That says a lot. - Popsghostly
He wants surgery on his neck and that wasn't approved by the org.
The organization wants him to do rehab and rest and probably some steroid injections to see if it calms down. They probably should have sat him for more of the season with the discomfort he was in rather than allow it to spiral down to this level.
The player wants an operation and doesn't want to treat it conservatively. Which seems like it comes down to an artificial disk vs a fusion. The fake disk has had really good outcomes with patients with degenerative disk issues. Not a lot of data for athletes. Usually with the athletes they end up with a fusion since its been around a lot longer and they kind of know what to expect one way or the other.
At least in the published studies the disk replacement has produced better outcomes from a range of motion perspective and needing additional operations statistics. The recovery time is shorter for disk replacement as well. Very well documented, its not like he's requesting some type of outlandish bleeding edge treatment to be performed on him.

Plus the fusion usually leads to future fusions down the road (at least in the back). Not sure if that is the same for the neck.

Likely draft picks. Vancouver won’t part with their top prospects (rightfully so). Maybe DiPietro would be worth it (plus a later pick).
I could see Holtby coming back if Vancouver is willing to pay more. |

Ok i could see holtby coming back plus Eriksson for the 9th overall and 2nd deprieto for the 11th overall pick. Hawks get another goalie prospect move up 2 spots and gain a 2nd in this years draft or next . |

Sounds too much like a Bettman thing, but he hates Chicago so he wouldn't want to help them. Unless he steps down and McD becomes commish, then this would have his fingerprints all over it. - powerenforcer

He be a better option did not say Vegas would trade him. Plus there was a proposed trade last offseason strome for tuch straight up but bowman wanted a prospect or pick for taking tuch's contract. - Scott1977
No there wasn't. It was a trade proposed on here. If I'm wrong provide proof. This Talk about this non Tarde is so stupid. |

Ok i might be mistaken just trying to figure the best way hawks can take advantage of the LTRI to benefits them. They are going have to take a bad contract or two to gain more assets. |
