He's played for a far inferior team. I live around Calgary and have watched the majority of their playoff games since Tkachuk came to town, I assure you he's contributed more than Marner has for far less money. - joel878
He hasn't and he signed for half the term that marner did.
What RFA has ever gotten more than 7 million per for only 3 years? Tkachuk's cap hit is huge. |

You're overrating 'Intangibles". Tkacuk has been a playoff bust. - RogerRoeper
You're an idiot. Don't even bother with telling me what I am or aren't doing, there's few people on here who's opinions I could possibly take less seriously. |

Rielly and another piece for Tkachuk
if Hamilton is a no go. - senstroll
So 47m on 5 forwards, we lose depth on D and probably are stuck with ahlers and spezza in the bottom 6.
I dont see how any big contract comes in without moving out one if the big 4. |

I agree Marner was the most underperforming player on the Leafs by miles. Needs to spend some time and effort improving shot and strength. He falls down if someone farts in his direction. - winsix

I guess you didnt watch too many flames playoff games, cause tkafack, didnt have too much bite his last series either.
Ive always said, im willing to trade anyone as long as it makes the team better long term.
No proof a marner for tkafack does that - Fakepartofme
I don't think Marner for Tkachuk is a good deal either. Not for the Leafs. The Flames wouldn't do it anyway. If the Leafs do trade Marner, which I don't believe they will, It should be for a good defenseman IMO. Calgary has Hanafin on a good deal, Hanafin ++ might be ok, would have some irony attached as well.

Rather have Tkachuk at 7 on a bridge than Marner at 11 for 6 years. Because I don't give a (frank) about term if you have to handicap the entire organization to get it. |

unless Hamilton is coming on a decent deal then I don't see the Leafs shaking up their D core at all.
Evaluating the season and playoffs the D core did its job very well. Why shake it up unless you are improving your team by a lot? |

Leaf fans talk about who gets the cup 1st after winning a playoff game, that’s a major reason why it would wash away pretty quickly when you’re golfing and the playoffs are still on. - Garnie
Which explains all the hurt now |

Also, I think it would take more than just Rielly to get Matt Tkachuk.

Pass on Tkachuck.
If there is a Flames forward I want its Lindholm and if he isnt to be had move onto some other teams. - Santo_44
Flams and Leefs should make a massive deal.
Tkuchuk, Tanev and lindholm for Rielly, Kerfoot and Willy
lets get crazy

You're the one calling them that, dumbass. I'm angling for a more complete player. Yes Thornton and Tkachuk are totally the same thing.
(frank) off and go back to calling leaf sweeps. |

If you cant re sign morgan on a good deal, id move him out and not let him walk for nothing.
But agreed, i thought our D was the best theyve been in a decade. |

You need to decide on Rielly this summer. No more "own rental" crap. it's not working. |

In modern day hockey that poop never happens.
I'd have no doubt Dubas probably loves Lindholm but so do the Flames probably.

Well unless the player they trade for has great playoff numbers and performances.
Tkafack doesnt really have that |

Except Hannifan really sucks. He's "Big" and was a top 5 pick. That's all he has going for him for anyone to think he's good. |

Its hard to believe that they won't be able to sign Morgan to a decent deal...Whos replacing him? An overpaid UFA?
He is a guy where I bet there is strong mutual interests from both sides to get it done.
Plus he is getting paid 5M this year
I like the D core and its a good core to bring Sandin and Lil into...if they both impress? Great we have a solid top 6 for a few years. |

Tkafacks is 7m only for one more year. Then its a minimum of 9....which is 1.9 less than mitch....not exactly a big difference. |
