I had the weirdest dream last night. I ate three edibles and dreamt that the Lightning scored a touchdown.

You didn't have to. You got to experience one while awake. |

Hats off to anyone who was still watching after it hit 4-0 or 5-0.
I would have turned it off by then. I guess I'm not a real sports fan, because I turn it off when it becomes apparent my team is going to lose by a large margin. Only once or twice ever have I turned off a game and the Lightning came back to win it. I usually check the score on my phone to see how it's going, but I quit watching. It's just not entertaining at that point and I already have enough aggravating things in my life. |

A lot of people have criticized Barzal for his outburst, but at least he was showing some emotion. Outside of him, Martin, and Clutterbuck, the Isles didn't have much physical pushback. I hope Rutta is OK, but man, seriously, why waste a possible suspension on Rutta? If you are going to coldcock somebody, make it count and pop Kucherov or Point in the kisser.

Anyone that refers to them as the Bolts is not a true fan. |

I am, I'm just not a raging homo.
I try to put myself in the opposing fan's shoes. If I am an Isles fan, I am happy that Barzal showed some pushback, but disappointed that he wasted it on a plug like Rutta. - GalacticStone

Good to see emotion but there was no need to do it that way. I watched it again it was a bit more severe then I initially thought in all honesty but I still don’t see it as a suspendable offense as compared to other incidents I’ve seen these playoffs. With that said it’s the NHL so who knows. |

It's Rutta's reaction and removal from the game that will make it potentially suspendable. I'm not worried about 'the chop' as that happens 50% of the times when refs restrain an irate player. I would love to know what Rutta said that set Barzal off so much. At first I thought it might be a response to the multiple crosschecks he laid on Pageau, but Rutta clearly skated by Barzy, turned and said something to him and then Barzy went off. The kid is a loose cannon with his temper
Meanwhile, we've already seen Rutta perform theatrics in this series and prior. Call it playoff gamesmanship or instigator antics, but Barzy fell for it and may pay the price. I imagine Rutta will show up in a full body cast today |

The Lightning are a bunch of grade A drama queen divers that’s for sure. Whatever works I guess. |

No question that shot likely hurt, but the way he instantly went down and lay motionless before getting up with no redness on his face and looking fine, walking off without assistance, it seemed apparent what he was trying to do. |

Maybe a wheelchair too.
Yeah, I saw the same thing and thought it was a reaction to Rutta's crosschecks to Pageau plus whatever he said to Barzal. I liked that he was sticking up for his teammate, but not the way he did it. |

To be fair Rutta doesn’t know whats going on when he’s on the ice normally so getting hit in the face he went into shock. |

Well I guess the only good news is that losing 8-0 counts all the same as losing 1-0 in 3OT

Repeated cross checks in front of our net are labeled “great hockey plays” Islander cross checks a Tampa player it’s the end of the (frank)ing world. That broadcast team was in excellent form last night wow. Between Tappen with her rant about the fan leaving the viewing party and Olcyk with his feigned outrage over the Barzal hit. It really was unbelievable |

I have such a mistrust of the media these days it wouldn't shock me to find out that the video of that 'fan' walking out 4x was just a replay of 2x. That said, that kid looked like a total jackass.
Meanwhile, Eddie clearly was trying to will that suspension |

It might actually be better than losing 1-0 in 3OT. The embarrassment may actually get them going for the next game. |

I turned it off after the 3rd goal. I wasn't putting myself through that torture.
I don't expect that to happen again, that's for sure. They might lose and be eliminated tomorrow, but it won't be a shi t-kicking like that again |

I stopped watching so I missed the Eddie rant.
I'm so happy Milbury was relieved of his duties since he was one of the most biased guys on the whole network. He never should have been covering Rangers games but he did just about every one. |
