I've read that Green doesn't like dmen playing their off-side. Kind of hurt the value that guys like Schmidt and Benn brought as guys who were comfortable playing both sides. Schmidt usually likes to one time the puck a lot as well so I can see why he prefers playing RHD offensively.

I am not sure about who should play or not but you have to keep in mind they have to build a playoff lineup.

Probably not, but that's what they should do. Get them all playing time this year, don't make any big free agent signings or big trades, then make moves next off season when Beagle, LE, virtanen are all gone.

They're good as gone just recapture left. If big player add, like RSD, can be made, its essential to grab. Passing on that, to not spend above the cap, will have paying fans turn on ownership.

Luckilly we can play Hughes on both sides 60 minutes per game. We don't need any other good players. Also, Hughes will actually become good at defending.
