Montreal trying to go up 3 -1 against Vegas with Cole Caufield and Erik Gustafsson.
76ers might be minutes away from losing game 7 with Ben Simmons passing up a dunk when under the basket.
What a night. - Captain_Ahab
LOL at this Cole Caulfield narrative. Stop acting like he is the second coming of Theo Fluery. Zero points tonight and -1. 7 points in 12 playoff games. Lets just hand him the Conn Smyth trophy right now.

That was ridiculous. If that isn't a sign that it's in his head, I don't know what is.

Your comment makes no sense.
I never acted like he is the second coming of Theo Fluery. You lied.
Cole Caufield is a good young player who the Flyers could have had, could use, and passed on.
Gustafsson was a healthy scratch for the Flyers and yet plays every night for a Montreal team that is getting real close to reaching the Finals.

The Flyers got a good young player in York. Do you think Gustafsson played well in Philly?

No. That's why I said he was a healthy scratch in Philly. |

So then why does it matter that he's playing every game for Montreal? Did the Flyers do something wrong with him?

Morey tried to move him. His performance in the playoffs will push Morey even harder to move him out.
It's a difficult move to make. That's why I said "may." |

That's the point. He wasn't good enough to play for a bad FLyers team.
That's why it's interesting to see him suit up for a team that is nearing a finals appearance. |

Ben Simmons 4th quarter this series:
Game 1: 2-2 FG
Game 2: 0-0 FG
Game 3: 1-1 FG
Game 4: 0-0 FG
Game 5: 0-0 FG
Game 6: 0-0 FG
Game 7: 0-0 FG
Right now to move Ben it would take a lot of sweeteners. Several first rounders and most likely either Maxey or Thybulle. |

Roster turnover. There are going to be moves made. - MJL
This is where Daryl Morey is going to earn his paycheck: finding a new coach and seeing if he can deal Simmons for a true PG.

That's on Gustafsson for his performance as a Flyer. For the record, it is a ridiculous narrative being thrown out by some with Caulfield.

The Sixers lost the series for a variety of reasons but game 7 came down to matchups and who was able to make plays in crunch time. Hawks were able to take advantage of their size matchups with Heurter and Gollinari. Excuse the spelling if it's not correct. The Sixers have a 6-10 guard that they can't exploit a size matchup with. He didn't even want to dunk the ball in the 4th quarter.

Simmons was an all star three months ago and was a liability on the court (offensive end) during the playoffs. Unbelievable |

Gus is playing 8mins of ES ice per night. MTL can afford to dress an offensive specialist because they play the absolute poop out of their top-4 defenders. |

It's one thing to have a bad shooting night. It's another thing to not want the ball. Trae Young had a bad shooting night but still wanted the ball with the game on the line. Hit a big 3. Simmons wanted no parts of the ball to shoot. He passed up shots 3 times deep in the lane without even looking to shoot.

What narrative?
I like the move Fletcher made.
The selection of York and adding an extra draft pick.
Watching a player who played poorly for one team and then have a chance to get his name on the Cup with another team, in the same season, is always a weird sight to see. |

But they have Cole Caufield and the Flyers passed on him.
