some guys can play both sides, so its possible. I have no interest in OEL. but i read a rumour today the flyers are interested in Soderstrom from AZ. IF they could grab him, he wouldnt cost as much because is still a prospect, but maybe a 1st and patrick ?? Id rather a 1st and Ginning though lol

I don’t like to look back at drafts and say what if… we picked this guy or that guy or didn’t trade here or traded up there? Soderstrom was, of course, chosen with the Flyers original pick; they traded back and then picked York and Brink. However, over a large sample size of drafts, it is hard not to question the absence of top RHD picks. Makar and Heiskanen picked after Patrick, Pulock after Morin, Hamilton after Couturier. Not that each decision is right or wrong or a matter of changing those, but at no time was the selection or move up to get a RHD. It isn’t a matter of difficulty; it is a matter of determining selections.

Idk if it gets eichel? Who knows what the package would be. But in that scenario I do it without a second thought

Hayes and laughts take care of defensive situations and eichel out every offensive situation he can get into. Substitute eichel with any big time speed skill true 1c. Even if young like Suzuki Barzal.

I also wish G and Jake could score goals like Couts. Couts isnt the problem, him not having a 30 goal scorer on his line is the problem

If they had this then they would have that and then in 3 years they would draft 3 more prospects, 4-5 more drafts they would make it to the conference finals.

Coots would be 1c for a year or 2 until cozens takes over then have coots locked up for 2c. Tk honestly is more a 2nd line winger. A good one at that. Might have to swap 2nd rounder for a first tho. Maybe not with the injury. Who knows. I do if healthy eichel is a game changer.

im not saying its horrible for the flyers per se. i would probably do it but there is a bit of a hold your nose and take the plunge feeling. its a huge risk but thats the intention. i just like seeing people willing to plunk down quality in hypotheticals rather than scooping up their trash expecting other teams to covet it. (not saying thats unique to flyers fans).

a good trade hypo should hurt a little bit.

And in the last 2 seasons coots and Bergeron have run about the same PPG, while Bergeron has 2 of the best wingers in the league, that are a perfect fit. Would Coots stats would be higher the last 2 years if he switched with Bergeron ?

Does that mean Bergeron is no longer a 1C or just an average 1C?
