Leafs need to go all in on Coleman. Similar style player to Hyman but only playing 15:30 a night. Hyman plays almost 4 minutes more a game with much better players in the regular season. If you can get him in the 3-4mil range, you do it every day.

They invested heavily in a goalie, and he is paying dividends when it matters.

There’s been far more mistakes than right calls during the Shanny era, Dubas hasn’t righted the ship one bit either.

Marner will take some hits, and occasionally shows some emotion, but Willy is terrified of contact it seems. The odd time he’ll bump a guy along the boards, but usually he just lets the other play get to the puck first then taps him with his stick. I’ve never seen such cowardice from an NHL player in my life. No doubt the talent is there, but he’s not a guy you can depend on when the going gets tough.

If I were a Leafs fan and watched my team lose in the first round (even missed the actual playoffs last season) because they were too soft and they showed no real desire to change the identity of the team, I’d be pissed. They can build around 34/16, that’s why I’d be unhappy. They’re squandering the best opportunity they’ve had since the height of the Clark/Gilmour era. Those players showed a lot of heart.
