Trade Seth Jones to Philly for Gostisbehere, Patrick, 2022 1st

Sign Laine for the duration of Eichel's contract (5-years)

Make a few more trades to shore-up the middle-6 and avoid a re-build.

the fans down here are really not stoked about a re-build in the slightest. They want success and they want it NOW. Their GM has to appease the fans. They're pretty hardcore fanbase down here.

Which is why I think we should make a "hockey trade" with them and send them all of Eichel, Reinhart and Ristolainen. I'd even throw Olofsson into the deal. They need to make a blockbuster for the fans and try to make a run here over the next few years.

I think the GM has cold feet about everything. They have the revenue. They need to go all-in.

Being brutally honest doesn't get you a lot of friends in life but, also, people suck so I think it's more rewarding to be honest and have a few friends than it is to be fake and have 50 friends.

Whatever, that works. I'm not interested in Patrick. I think the Columbus GM can be completely fleeced right now. There is a lot of fan pressure to make the big splash.

Geting just solid guys is not good enough.

Solid to me is 2-3 line players.

A team full of Asplunds and Thompsons.

This draft scares the crap out of me. The last time a draft was chalk full of D-men at the top was 2012. and that draft was really bad.

The problem is, we are not going to get what we think we will in any Eichel trade.

Eichel for all three 2021 first round picks they currently own, Texier, Foudy. They're pretty high on Texier and Foudy down here but they seem to be willing to go all-in on Eichel.

I just think the best possible return is coming from Columbus at this point and I've actually been saying it all year.
