Dan Dunleavy is already an adequate replacement. He's actually enjoyable to listen to, unlike Kevin Sylvester. Good God he was a pretentious herb.

Well, Comtois, Zegras and Drysdale combine for 132 NHL games between them...so, he must be thinking of them as the "filler pieces"

Jack
4
Gibson
Comtois
Zegras
Drysdale

Wonder if we could get Jones and Terry added if we include Olofsson.

- IonSabres

I like Terry.

Gibson is a great goalie and would be a nice add.. but does he fit the rebuild schedule?
- SabresFaninIndiana

Imo, ANY good goalie fits the rebuild schedule. I don't care how old they are. I'd take Fleury for a couple years. It gives your youngins confidence.

That recipe never worked for Nashville though?
- gerbe75pts

I think our forward group would be better then what they had. And they had a good long run of playoffs. So I think it did work, just no cup. Maybe we do with the better forwards

Buffalo knows about this draft than other teams.

SO what you can say is "We know more than everyone else"

Anyone else consider this scary as hell.

That the Sabres and their skeleton staff seem to think this draft is great while most other teams are okay with dumping their first round picks.

Those aren't good at all imo
- gerbe75pts

Eichel for all 3 2021 1sts isn't good? Jeez, as a starting point, who can offer more to a team like us who is going into ANOTHER rebuild? I say you stock up this year's draft and hope to win the lottery on these 1st rounders. They can also be packaged to move up and grab Beniers or Eklund so please, Gerbs, elaborate.

I say we go all in on this draft. Make it or break it. Get all the 1st round picks.

You tell me how many other people have play-by-play announcer who is even 1/10th of what RJ is and I'll agree that Dunleavy is vanilla.

We've been spoiled. We had Van Miller, Ted Darling, RJ... Dunleavy is more like Cookies 'n Cream. Might not be the best, but it can really hit the spot sometimes.

I do not miss him at all haha

I knew a guy who got to intern for the Sabres for a while. He said Sylvester was one of the biggest knobs he ever met, and I believe him

was 2014 the last "weak draft"

no consensus superstar at the top but ekblad ended up pulling away, and 7 first round picks were traded because it was meh?

look at the names

give me 4 darts to throw at this class and you're probably getting 3 really good players

if teams are undervaluing their own first round picks because they think its a weak draft, i think a smart team would absolutely be buying them on the cheap

Columbus really doesn't have anything to offer
2 late draft picks aren't much value for a eichel trade

Just my opinion
