Ok there has to be story here.

Was it because of the bar?

And why were you in the hotel so much?

He had a disease that caused him to slowly become a child again. Very sad. When his wife wasn't watching he would just start wandering.

Hi everyone, Gibson is a good/great goalie, and also an unacceptable return
- TheSabresTaco

Gibson is a great goalie and would be a nice add.. but does he fit the rebuild schedule?

Hm.

Maybe jam Patrick into that offer.

- TheSabresTaco

The GM has zero attachment to Patrick so i can see that being done easily. I myself keep him and see what a new season brings. There is no risk keeping him and there is a still a potential reward. You can take NAK instead!!!

It would be ill advised for the Sabres to pay his worth.

Not for us he doesn’t … and with Dostal in the wings we need to maximize the return on Gibson.

Anyone who listens to RJ the past few years and enjoys it is into sadism.

He isn't just mis-pronouncing names. He flat out rambles in a raspier voice than Bob Dylan, is clearly hammered 90% of the time and we have a guy who can call games right now who isn't half bad.

You chose the dump truck approach. But you're never misunderstood.

And we love you for it.

Surprised you would want to include Gibson. That basically leaves you Stolartz, unless Dostal is ready

Would be like getting Miller back in his prime. I'd be all for it. His value might be way too high. Plus, what's the motivation of getting rid of Gibson and trading for Eichel?

Columbus has the number 5 pick. They are going to trade Jones for a serious return. Are they also going to shop Laine? Nobody knows. If, as reported, Columbus is going all in on Eichel, hard to imagine any other team being able to match the package the Jackets can offer.

Eichel feeding Laine could be very sweet. But, could one clubhouse handle both those personalities?

I can see the Sabres having as many as four first round picks in the 2021 draft.

Got it. He had a bad year no way around it. Did the rib injury play a part? Who knows.
I just think Risto is a flyers target.

In that case take Hagg and 3rd!!!

I wouldn’t say trying to… but for offensive talent he has to be part of the package and having Dostal allows JG to be traded.

We can roll this yr with Stolli the goalie & Dostal.. Because we’re not going anywhere…

Being brutally honest doesn't get you a lot of friends in life but, also, people suck so I think it's more rewarding to be honest and have a few friends than it is to be fake and have 50 friends.

I couldn't agree more. RJ has been BAD for 5-7 years. SO antiquated.

Id love to some how bring Pete Weber back, but that isn't going to happen

Well because we’re not going anywhere the next year or so… And Dostal being the real deal. We can roll w/ Stoli the goalie & Dostal going 50/30 ..

That allows exploring a trade of JG for more offensive help.

I live in Columbus. They'd willingly let us fleece them.

I ran these by some co-workers:

Eichel

-for-

All 3 2021 1st round picks

and

Eichel, Reinhart, Ristolainen, Olofsson, 2022 lottery protected 1st (that becomes a 2023 if it's a lottery pick)

-for-

All 3 2021 1st round picks, a 2022 2nd, Texier, Foudy, Merzlikins, Jenner, Kukan and they seemed pretty excited.

You guys don't realize how hardcore/loyal the fanbase is down here and how much they want some star power on their team. I also think they're in a unique position to either go full rebuild or make a serious hockey trade and take a run next year.

Idk. Seems like we can fleece Columbus regardless.

Dan Dunleavy is already an adequate replacement. He's actually enjoyable to listen to, unlike Kevin Sylvester. Good God he was a pretentious herb.
