I like the idea of trading Reinhart to Columbus and having part of the return being Seth Jones, then Buffalo could trade Jones and even retain salary if needed to maximize the return.

They did. But much like Panarin, he figures he’ll get paid either way, so why not get to UFA the quickest and can choose where to play. Watched the bread man do it, figures to be a good strategy for older players with big success at the NHL level

I don't believe so as they're all in on adding quality players that want to be in Columbus.

I don't think they'd trade for Reinhart unless he agreed to sign an extension there.

I'm not sure Sam sees Columbus as a preferred destination, which is why I doubt he'll be traded there, despite what Friedman has repeatedly said about there being a lot of talk of Columbus and Reinhart being linked.

Close I would guess.
Tuch and Theodare might be tough to get both given VKG would be in win-now mode so they'll want to preserve their roster...I get the Cap balancing side of it.
That said, their '21 pick is going to be virtually a 2nd...being at 29-31 range...I'd rather have an existing prospect

Their 1st rd picks will be in late 20s. Maybe you take a little of a cap dump but sets us up nicely on a rebuild too and them a cup run

It would, only concern would be resigning Barkov and Hubs with 4M in space. Yandle and Stralman do come off the books, but then you gott replace middle pairings.

Value standpoint in sure they’d be fine with couple late firsts and Lundell. Cap restrictions come into play. Is Eichel worth losing one of Barkov or Huberdeau to UFA because they can’t afford them? Idk about that. This is where that Bob deal bites then in the ass
