That's a good starting point - Buff36
I like the idea of trading Reinhart to Columbus and having part of the return being Seth Jones, then Buffalo could trade Jones and even retain salary if needed to maximize the return.
It'll never happen though. |

There was a rumor floated that the Wild offered $8M per for 8 years and he declined it. That would be something if true. - kingcong39
They did. But much like Panarin, he figures he’ll get paid either way, so why not get to UFA the quickest and can choose where to play. Watched the bread man do it, figures to be a good strategy for older players with big success at the NHL level |

That would be interesting, but like you said I highly doubt it. |

That would take a level of creativity that few GM's seem to possess. |

I like the Florida idea of Lundell and two 1sts.
Then trade Sam and Florida’s first this year to Seattle for #2.
Start the rebuild adding Power, Beniers and Lundell to our other young core.
Have 2 firsts next year, one which will be most likely top 3 |

I don't believe so as they're all in on adding quality players that want to be in Columbus.
I don't think they'd trade for Reinhart unless he agreed to sign an extension there.
I'm not sure Sam sees Columbus as a preferred destination, which is why I doubt he'll be traded there, despite what Friedman has repeatedly said about there being a lot of talk of Columbus and Reinhart being linked. |

circling back here:
would tuch, theodore, jack dugan and 2021 1st do it for either side? - Michael Pachla
Close I would guess.
Tuch and Theodare might be tough to get both given VKG would be in win-now mode so they'll want to preserve their roster...I get the Cap balancing side of it.
That said, their '21 pick is going to be virtually a 2nd...being at 29-31 range...I'd rather have an existing prospect
How about
Tuch
Krebs
Dugan
Logan Thompson (G)

I think Florida would do it, as a top 2 center tandem of Eichel and Barkov would be downright frightening. |

Same. They were a cup contender this year and now you have Jack as your 2nd line.
Their 1st rd picks will be in late 20s. Maybe you take a little of a cap dump but sets us up nicely on a rebuild too and them a cup run |

That's why I don't think the deal proposed is even enough with Florida being in the same division. |

Hell no that's not enough, considering they're taking on Henrique's contract in that proposed deal. |

It would, only concern would be resigning Barkov and Hubs with 4M in space. Yandle and Stralman do come off the books, but then you gott replace middle pairings. |

Nothing is gonna be good enough for Eichel, but can't just throw away deals because we think it's not enough. |

Yes it is, just from what has been said, and then wearing it out onto the field. I still do too, I only do it cause I don't want to bring home anything to my Mother. - Buff36
There is a very fine line between the people who understand this and the people who do not. It's not about you or me, it's about protecting other people. The vaccine is a whole other can of worms that we should just leave out of here. |

Why not? - IonSabres
Value standpoint in sure they’d be fine with couple late firsts and Lundell. Cap restrictions come into play. Is Eichel worth losing one of Barkov or Huberdeau to UFA because they can’t afford them? Idk about that. This is where that Bob deal bites then in the ass |
