As much as I want JE… Drysdale is even more untouchable than Z …
The trade with us is centered around Gibson for JE and some filler pieces on both sides that make each team happy.

Some Saber fans insist a high end F has to come back and while I understand that we just aren’t in the position to give up offensively talented players…

I just don't see Anahiem wanting to make this kind of deal. Eichel needs to play on a team where there is some elite talent already in place. The Ducks would be insane to abandon their rebuild program before it is even really starting to show results.

Easy pass if Gibson (who I like alot) is the centerpiece with a little added.
Moving on from the Ducks, like I said last night, they would have to gut their future.
They make no sense.

Columbus has the number 5 pick. They are going to trade Jones for a serious return. Are they also going to shop Laine? Nobody knows. If, as reported, Columbus is going all in on Eichel, hard to imagine any other team being able to match the package the Jackets can offer.

Eichel feeding Laine could be very sweet. But, could one clubhouse handle both those personalities?

I can see the Sabres having as many as four first round picks in the 2021 draft.
