He checks a lot of boxes and I'd consider the last 6-8 weeks of the season as his breakout. Never saw him play better.

I didn't know it could only be the Sabres pick, that should be changed. Teams might start actually using the offer sheet approach then. With the flat cap that could be a new avenue for player movement.

It really is a shame because I really like a lot of her vision for the area and her work around the arena has been really well done! But she just can’t hand that Sabres President title over to allow for better organizational structure and success.

Not that he’s the end all be all, but I really thought with the Rutherford rumors, he would have been added to the front office and they (pegs) would have stepped back a bit. I guess even in the depths of disfunction that capped the 20/21 season, they still don’t see the need to cede power to someone that knows the nhl better than they do…

Hell, it took how long to add Karmonous. That should have been a slam dunk, 2 “interview”, 1 week hire.
