Case and point just look at the trades of Ryan Miller and Ryan oreilly!! And look what you got for Taylor hall!! Miller you got nothing!!! With oreilly you have Thomson and the draft pick !! And you got poop for Hallandale you had to give up lazer who scored more goals then captain candy ass and hall both !! And you want (frank)ing draft pick and prospects!! That is why this team will be 11 years plus not making the playoffs!! Maybe 2030!!

Converse argument, Griffin Reinhart was traded for the pick that became Mathew Barzal. I know we have a few Reinhart fans here, but I think that trade worked out pretty well for the Isles.

Best case scenario is a nieuwendyk for Iginla type transaction. I understand Eichel was a better player than Nieuwendyk was at that point of time, and hoping for any prospect to turn into a HOF like Iginla is more or less a pipe dream, however getting a high end prospect back for Eichel is ideally better than trading him for veterans like a Sean Monahan.

Sabres aren’t winning next year even with Eichel.

Might as well get good young players that can fit not only for next year but for future years.

Saying to not trade Eichel for a high end prospect is not something I agree with.

and tons that don’t
We’ll just have to wait & see what happens

We could probably get NHLers back for Eichel that are pretty good
But it’s no guarantee they’d work here either

Get a boatload of high end prospects & picks to add to the new young core
Of course, not all are likely to work out like we hope
But that’s still the best idea by a long shot
