How long ago was the Montreal series? The D wasn’t the problem. Having $33M of your cap space in forwards not scoring seems to be more of an issue than 2 GA per game.
- Canada Cup

Scoring has been the issue last 2 years. And it's funny people will claim 40 milion on those 4 means they have no depth. Those 4 have to score. The stats say the depth was scoring great. The core forwards were the issue.

I agree Spezza rocks.
I also agree that Sid and Ovi should sign with the leafs for 1m each.

I like that plan

I’ll go when I get bored of you guys, I’m not quite there yet. When I created this account I didn’t think you guys would be so sensitive but I was wrong lol. AA really did a number on some of you, I’d like to know how he did it

Just another loser who got enjoyment out of trolling and trying to get people angry. We are just trying to help man, what you are doing is unhealthy. Go do something you actually enjoy doing instead of trying to rattle fellow hockey fans with the same passion for a team as you do, just a different one.

Fill your time with something better and it will get better, you dont have to get other people angry or prove your own thoughts to yourself

I really think it's Barry Trotz getting them there and not Leo Komorov. A team making conference finals doesn't absolve them from bad moves.
They are going to lose again in the C. Finals. they'll never take that next step

- RogerRoeper

the coach doesnt play the games.
Its the players, players that the GM trades for, drafts or signs
The Coach can only do so much.
Never take the next step?
They went from not being the playoffs for a while to always being in the playoffs and only a few wins away from the cup final.
they are so many steps ahead of the leafs its not even funny
Again, if the leafs were having the same success the Isles have had, youd be jerking all over here with how great theyve done, how great dubas is blah blah blah.

"Forgot about D". They traded for Muzzin, then signed him again. Signed Brodie. Traded down to draft Sandin. Signed Bogosian. Added Holl from the press box. Traded for Jack Campbell.
- RogerRoeper

I’m talking about when they trade for Eichel,

It’s ok Jimmy.

One was injured, and one was scared of his own shadow.. There were no issues with the other 2 core 4 forwards.

As per my post from a few days ago, we tried that in 2003-04, with 9 captains.

It didn't work.

Franking Leetch and his franking blown tire in the neutral zone.

Frank, I hate Roenick.

Kerfoot, Marner, and Liljegren for Eichel and Ristolainen..

Crazy idea:

Instead of constantly replying to a troll, giving him exactly what he wants, why don't you try ignoring him?

It's not that tough a concept.

If nobody responds, he'll eventually get the message and go home.

You constantly complain about trolls, yet you are the one who constantly feeds them.

So, the coach doesn't develop a system or a game plan or a defensive plan? The players just go out and figure things out on their own?

Man, we really need Leo Komarov back..

Tough call whether you like 93 or 94 better (I think Down Goes Brown actually wrote a column about this).

94 has nobody bleeding from the head - that's unforgivable.

Greatest glitch in the game: if the faceoff was in your end on the left side of the TV screen, you would pull your goalie. If you timed it right (it wasn't that hard), your goalie would skate towards the bench - and through the face-off circle, bumping the opposing centre out of the way just before the ref dropped the puck.

Easy faceoff win.

NHL 93 had Cliff Ronning's speed stuck at 100
