Try stopping Matthews-Eichel

So he’ll score at the same pace as playoff Marner?

I lost respect for this hockeybuzz writer. I used to enjoy Toronto blogs, but all I see now is excuses from the entire organization and now their hockeybuzz beat writer.

Your team is choke artists led my a choke artist. The islanders lose their captain with a quarter of the season left, they are still able to prevail to the eastern conference finals. Hmmmm not bad LOU.

Biggest mistake in the hockey business. Disrespecting the god father my Uncle Lou.

Nobody reads Mike but (frank) Lou and the (frank)ing Buick he rode in on.

Eichel will be just fine... in LA or on the Rags.

Apparently they are both out on him. It’s either the Leafs or Toronto.

Teams arrange their entire gameplan around shutting down 34/16.. McDavid wasn’t spectacular either..
- Horsey Sauce

McDavid wasn't spectacular, but he and Draisaitl combined for 3 out of the 8 goals their team scored in 4 games. Matthews and Marner combined for 1 of the 18 goals the leafs scored in 7 games. Edmonton's big two weren't spectacular, but they also got no help at all. The leafs big two didn't need to be spectacular, they didn't even need to be good. If they were even just average, the leafs win the series. Matthews looked dangerous, but in the end didn't convert, and Marner was just bad.

I’ll go when I get bored of you guys, I’m not quite there yet. When I created this account I didn’t think you guys would be so sensitive but I was wrong lol. AA really did a number on some of you, I’d like to know how he did it

I will never understand people like this. All the alt names/accounts included obviously).

1. (As respectful as possible) Your motivation to get out of bed is to log onto your computer, go on a hockey site, create multiple accounts/users, and say the most asinine and clueless (hockey wise included) things to get a rise out of other people. I honestly don’t know how you would be proud of yourself or see this as a ‘win’. What does your dad think, eh?.

2. You ‘lol’ and are impressed with yourself that you got under someone’s skin? Man, it is inherently human to be put out off and agitated by stupidity and annoyances/pests. Again, this is an accomplishment? I get irritated when I can’t open those packages that have that impossible to rip and cut tough plastic. Also, I get agitated when it’s overly windy. So, you are keeping pace with that I suppose.

3. For someone who clearly doesn’t understand the game and has never played puck at a meaningful level - you sure have a lot of opinions. Not sure that’s a good thing. My advice, go to a random chat site and chirp and agitate those site, you know. Maybe a music or film or politics site. Maybe you know more about those subjects and could offer more on those topics.

Anyways, I hope you find what you are looking for, man. If that’s being on here and being wind - I guess keep on keepin’ on.

Exactly.

Which is why Mitch should go so we can improve the scoring depth.

Or he can start playing up to his contract..

I'm good with either.

- Leafs43

Mitch is an elite talent. Nylander is the obvious subtraction. From the Leafs games I watched, Nylander has no sense of defence and he takes games off. Just my opinion of course.

Yeah, trade one of the better-value contracts the Leafs have.

7 mil for a guy who’s scared of contact and can’t play defence.

This is why you guys lose first round every year.

He just got lucky scoring goals in post-season? When it's much harder to score? Just ask AM or MM.
He has the 2nd-best +/- on the team in this years post season.

He's averaged 0.734 PPG since he joined the Leafs.

He's not a bargain, but as an outsider (I cheer for Boston so I'm not "you guys") I'd say his contract has good value. Trading that would be stupid because 1) you still need to fill out the roster and 2) you won't be replacing his offense.

Agreed, unless they can get a guy who is on a steal of a contract (which is pretty much impossible) all they can really expect back for Nylander is a player of equal value or worse. That and the fact that they don't have anyone coming up through the system to replace him right now makes a Nylander deal pointless and risky.

This is good insight. It never crossed my mind to blame the guy that scored 5 goals and 8 points for this years exit. You're right, definitely get rid of him. Far better to keep the guy with 0 goals in the last 18 games.

So have you folks decided when Stanley Cup Parade is ? Probably mid-July right ?
Reason is, I want to drive the tractor down to pull one of the floats, so I need a heads-up date. How do you figure out who holds the Cup, who is most deserving? I say Shabby.

Life-long Leafs Fan until I moved West.

PS: keep Itchy and Clipon apart, you don't want that puppet thing messing up the Parade.
