As good defensively as he is, he's not doing much on the offensive side...anything more than 5M$ per is kinda too much IMO.

Oh, I didn't say "give it to him". But he's probably going to get it from another team then.

I was mad at the Habs for using 6M$ on the salary cap for Plekanec, and at least he brought some offense.

Flat cap, lots of teams not going to have much room, I have a hard time believing he will get much more than $5M.

well that's the thing, they got their contracts mainly because teams were banking on their offensive upside, which in comparison Danault doesn't really have. not saying it's impossible that he moves, but I have the impression Phil really likes it in MTL and will be looking to have a decent deal for both sides with the habs

If the Habs want to remain contenders they can't throw 6M$ per at a guy who can barely score 10 goals per season no matter how good he is without the puck.
