Ducks had 17 wins with Comtois puting up 16/17/33, good for 49 pt pace over 82.
Take that off the team as the leading scorer...no decrease the number of wins accordingly; -3, -5?
That woul mean Jack would have to win an additional 10 games over what they lost with Comtois...so 13, 16 wins.

It isn't happening, and they just took 2 more of their top assets away.
Good news, they would be in the Shane Wright derby next season though.

What you said and what I put in quotations mean precisely the same thing. What a waste of time. GMTM making bad decisions doesn’t mean every trade with multiple pieces being exchanged for an undeniably premium asset is a bad one. Eichel is elite, and can be the cornerstone of a franchise and I assure you, 32 GM’s are very conscious of that fact.

This. We have a ton of assets 22 and under and we should be getting a couple more premium pieces. I am actually looking forward to it.

This is tough for me because I remember the years of Grigorenko, Zads, Girgs, Risto when they were new here and we looked terrible at Traverse City.

The Traverse City Tournament reference is awesome - I remember that tournament. Yeah, I think those prospects were younger then. That's also the result of not having prospects - we were so invested in the few that we had.

1) get adams some insights from around the league
2) delay until eichel is dealt with

We thought and were led to believe we were loaded though. We were all in shock when that happened. Then we showed a propensity to NOT develop properly.

If we're going full rebuild, I don't think we are but we COULD be that crap better be fixed.

We have done nothing to help players develop at all.

Jack Eichel is absolutely that great.

However, for the Sabres to get market value for him it would take a team to blow up their entire roster to put them in a similar position the Sabres are in now.

Hence why it’s going to be the Joe Thornton trade 2.0
