the capuano stuff is the biggest eye roll imaginable
- robz228

interesting take on dubas...the lanche wanted him, leafs said he couldn't go...friedman says an unwritten rule was followed in that if you don't allow an assistant, like dubas, to move up in another organization, then it's expected he move up in his present one...that's what happened

yea, like.. why him?

dubas was sought after, being groomed for the position, etc etc

capuano is a nobody who has accomplished nothing and is not an up and comer by any means. why we even wanting to interview him let alone why is ottawa trying to hang on to him?

the isles were a black hole under him and have been awesome since he left

Because apparently if Adams doesn't interview 50000 coaches, he is not doing his job and is harming the Sabres.

I have to think they don't want Granato to have the job, or he is low on the list.

This would never happen. They aren't parting with Gibson and Rakell they can keep he doesnt fit our timeline.

At this point I am of the belief that dealing Jack Eichel will be addition by substraction.

He's the problem

Obviously the definitions of elite and great are 100% subjective.

94 points for a $10 mil center ain't great, it's close but no cigar. And Jack did that 1 time in 6 years.

FWIW great or elite to me for a $10 million center in a capped league is 50 goals or 100 points or a Selke trophy season. Or, maybe, carrying your team to a playoff in a league where over half the teams make the playoffs; otherwise, you're overpaying.

the bod is said to have signed a two-year deal for a freidman reported $1.8m per...

how much did botts and the pegulas sign r lph for?

- Michael Pachla

three years.

Rod Brind’Amour: “I want to make a point, here. I feel like the richest coach in the world. I don’t know how many coaches can do their job where they live, where they’re from, where they’ve had a footprint on everything...the commitment we have from Tom: he wants to win.”

Anyway point is that Rod was never leaving. it was never about the money despite the pressure from the coaches association to demand more.

He just wanted the support staff taken care of.

i think its been granato since day one and we are getting a facade of a wide open search for a few reasons

1) get adams some insights from around the league
2) delay until eichel is dealt with
3) show the fans we are really being exhaustive!!11

I think they have to be and I think they hold back on some info for fear of pissing off their sources.
