yeah, i've called 10 companies this morning and none of them do temporary or the ones that do are booked out so i guess i'll have to do it myself like some boomer
i'm in a new construction and waiting around for a driveway and landscaping and not having a lawn is just so much more miserable than i imagined - robz228

If it's #3, Comtois, another prospect (not Zegras) and a cap dump, is it a fail? - Powerslave
Unless the 22 1st unprotected is also involved, yes. |

Someone suggested 8 and Vilardi for Reinhart on HFboards.
I think its a good deal for both sides. - ImThatGuy
I would see if they would upgrade to Turcotte if we throw in Johnson.
Turcotte and 8 for Reinhart and Johnson (he is an LA native after all) sounds good to me. |

Sounds like we're close on an Eichel deal
Probably makes sense to trade him before they name Donnie coach so he doesn't have to answer Eichel questions - Hank Balling

Would he still not have to answer 100 Eichel questions? First one off the top of my head:
"Donnie congrats on being hired to an Eichel-less team, gotta feel great you don't have to deal with all the questions about Eichel. Firstly, how's this team gonna progress without a true number one center on the roster?" |

If we don’t mess these deals up better days could be here sooner rather than later |

Moved into new house on December 7
Was waiting on air conditioning
They put seed down but didn't level it out
Finally this week everything is getting done after threat of small claims court
And 3 emails a day |

Let’s say the Sabres get a massive overpayment for Eichel. Does that bring a majority of fans back? |

usually when the "analytics team" loses its the anti-crowd trying to dunk on them and the analytics folks going "yeah sometimes that happens" - robz228
The teams that lost a playoff round this year despite winning the analytical battle were:
1) Colorado. They were slightly ahead of Vegas but it was more or less a toss up between two President’s trophy caliber teams. Thought about not even mentioning it because of how close it was.
2) Toronto. I believe they win that series if Tavares doesn’t get taken out. Carey Price deserves a lot of credit.
3) Penguins. It’s been beaten to death here already so I’m not going to continue.
4) Florida. Tampa dominated last two games but Florida was the better team the first 4.
I think an important thing to note in these examples is from the exception of Jack Campbell, Grubauer, Jarry, and the Bob/Dreidger combo were outplayed by a considerable amount by their counter parts in those respective series.
Analytics account for a team outchancing another and getting premium scoring opportunities. Doesn’t mean that team doesn’t get stonewalled by a hot goaltender. |

No Cap dump if they don't get their top prospect. They then need to dump Cap elsewhere.
But to answer your question, pretty much yes. Zegras or stay home. If they need to add Olofsson at 50% held,, fine.
NHL Channel last night was wondering about pieces coming back of 3, 4, maybe 5.
I'd be fine with and prefer 3 higher quality than 5 lesser assets. |

This. I think a lot of us started watching toward the end of this year when the team started playing good hockey and winning. Also, it can be fun to have a young team on the rise. They will come, Ray. |

I agree with this. Also it's nice to see the players smile and have fun as well. Eichel always seems to have a scowl on his face. |

You mean put a teams 2C on a stretcher and watch another team play without its top line Center due to suspension in an already week division ?
Vegas in 6 - Pegullaville
Analytics people say this consistently - "Hockey is a weird sport, anyone can go on a run, or get good goaltending and win a series"
Anti analytics people when an underdog wins "AnaLyTics saID theY cOULd NevEr BeaT TEAm X" |

analytics are never an indicator of short term success anyways
its like roulette. the house has an advantage. you might win betting on red 4 of 7 times, but if we start looking at a drawn out sample size, the house will be better.
and who would you rather be? the team that has an advantage, no matter how minimal the impact on a single game is? or would you rather be the guy betting on red, and saying i told you so to the house when you win this time?
