The comments there and overall show me that many dramatically overrate prospects.

Sabres fans love Cozens, but if he was the key piece in a trade to get a player like Eichel, he gone.

Just connecting things, there has been no talk of 2nd interviews with anyone, and with what Friedman said about clarity by the end of the week, and Weekes saying Rod is basically a done deal in Carolina. Unless Adams really wants to talk to Lambert, but then your looking at another week or 2, just to much falling into line.

The playoffs is just different than the regular season. A grittier team with uglier analytics, and I know you're going to love that I brought that into this, has a greater chance to win in the playoffs, in a small 7 game series. It's just different hockey, and I don't think hockey analytics has caught up to that yet.

Yeah, makes sense. I think we're at where at where we were at the beginning - unless Rod or Gallant was interested its going to be Granato. I don't see how any of the guys could blow someone away enough in an interview for it to not be him.
