Why would you take this job knowing you are highly likely to be fired in 3 years because the team is going to be bad for at least the next 2 and you'll have 1 year to prove you are the best fit.

The Islanders are like that kid at the playground that's no fun to beat up. You'll kick the poop out of him but he'll just keep getting up for more, making you mad. He'll never give you the satisfaction of knowing you beat him. On the other hand, it's not like you're in danger of getting your ass kicked by him either.

The Sabres, on the other hand, are the kid that just curls up in a ball and takes it.
